just because your in a stable relationship doesnt mean you cannot catch HIV

like i said before you can get a test anytime....but a lot choose not to,

 

i know all to well how easy it is to cop off on a night out.........some people sleep with 2+ people every weekend.......you might have only slept with 3 people in your life but how many have they slept with and there X's slept with and so on

 

it wasnt my idea, iv not even said im for it.... just something i heard on the radio this morning.

You can refuse any medical treatment/testing that you like: that's in your basic human rights.

 

It would set a dangerous precedent to make testing compulsory. Who would you make it compulsory for, at what age and and what intervals?

 

I think it should be made compulsory for people that want to emigrate to here (especially from sub-saharan Africa) and I'm pretty sure that most people that move here wouldn't object to it if they wanted to move into the country so bad.

Agreed Kether, I wouldn't be keen. In a way I'd take it as a bit of an insult, since I'm in a stable relationship and don't shag around! I don't need testing thanks.

 

Lisa, yes of course you can get HIV other ways, but it's not particularly likely is it...? I mean you could say the same for any disease. Why not make leprosy testing compulsory as well.

 

Unless I'm being naive... how else am I likely to have contracted HIV since I last got "the clear"?

I was merely pointing out that, sex is not the only way to contract HIV or aids, its fairly unlikely yes, but not impossible & there are some peeps in this world, who do only think it can be contracted from sex.
