Drinking when feeling low

Why does beer always make you remember thoughts that you'd sort of burried

 

I was out the other night, pissed as usual! and for some reason something started me thinking of something in particular that i thought i'd burried, either that or something that i'm not ready to deal with yet, kinda wrecked my night as i turned into a right miserable bastard

 

Happened to anyone else?

yeh, I find alcohol to be a downer, especially, if you are down, I dont know if it makes you remember, think it just makes you feel worse if you do have something bothering you, but in saying that alot of peeps drink to make them feel better when low. Guess it depends on the individual

Yeah - happened to me a few times too.... I dont drink beer as a result... vodka doesnt do it though

i dunno if its true or not, but i think alcohol amplifies whatever mood you are in, so if you are in a good mood and start drinking, u end up in a wicked mood, and vice versa... well it seems to with me anyway

It varies alot with me. If I'm worrying about something have a drink it either makes me worry about it alot more, or totally forget about it, theres no in between.

 

I shouldn't do it really, in the long run its never a good idea. That doesn't seem to stop me though

iv had a whole weekend bender to try and brighten myself up, it helps if there is people around to listen......but if your anything like me, everyone pours there heart out and i dish out the advise or listen...........but where are they when i need to chat

not at all.......it effects everybody different, iv never got depressed on alcohol

Totally agree with that - same goes for drugz too - if ur really low they just make u feel 10 time worse (esp k). Also get far worse 'comedown' symptoms with drink that I've ever done with any drug - reason i dont drink anymore!!

Alcohol brings out the emotion in people, it's like a relaxant (if thats the right word). You still have so much to come to terms with babes, of course you are going to think about things every now and then, drink or no drink. Just remember there are always people there to listen and help.

Alcohol doesn't effect me at all.

 

As in, doesn't make me nasty / sad / rude etc etc

 

It just maekes me feel happy.
