Great news!

It's been a week this morning that I my last ciggy!

 

I feel very proud of myself.

It wasn't planned.

I just smoked my last fag in the packete & went cold turkey!

 

So no promises, but I feel a real sense of acheivement!

 

Of course I will be tested this w'end cause I'm out with the Toopers!

I'm sure if I as, they will support me!

 

Anyway, just thought I'd let you know!

Must admit I've "forgotten" to smoke as well - real pleased that I cant be 'that' addicted to anything as I've just grown bored of a lot of substances !

I completely forgot to post about my progress !

Firstly nice one DuDu, YOU ARE OVER THE HARDEST BIT, TRUST ME !!

The next tough test is when your with all your mates who smoke, or are drinking / socialising / clubbing.

 

Its been 5 weeks and 2 days for me today, after smoking for 2 and a half years. Might not seem much, but it is soooooo tough.

 

DuDu, don't give in for fucksake ! Ive nearly cracked 3x under pressure from drink and have kept my will power, trust me, you feel so much better for it the next morning.

I have to be honest & say I'm not actually finding it that hard

 

I've been smoking since I was 13, that's a grand total of 18 years!

 

Let's do a carol od this then!

365 days in a year x 18 = 6570 (they days I've been smoking)

6570 x £3 = £19,710 (the cash I've wasted!)

 

So if you averaged out over the years an average cost of 20 fags @ £3 & I smoked 15 a day that's a total of £19,710 spent on ciggys in the last 18 years!!

 

MY GOD!

Is that right??

 

Let's hope that's enough to keep me of them for good!

Grant, DuDu, James...well done guy's. Nicotine patches for three months afrer 4 weeks of cold turkey worked for me. Six years/ no fags and yes I still want one.

ha ha!! dont give up smoking. just think of all the times it comes in handy:

 

1) when you are off your head and get that 'i dont know what to do with myself' feeling, you can smoke away!

 

2) when you are stressed you have somthing to turn to that you really think works!

 

3) glass of wine, pint of beer.....and a fag!! its a whole phrase!

 

4) how fookin cool do you look with a patch on your arm? give me a marlboro light any time

 

5) and lastly it is a great chat up line! ie: do you have a light? could i borrow a cigarette? oh i smoke those too...blah blah blah...
