i've kinda lost touch with the techno scene this last year and have no idea what techno clubs there r in and around london - ne ideas ppl?

acid techno's really dieing out @ the mo - i dont meen that as in the acids crap or its old hat or ne thin cuz with techno theres no such thing as fads, but i have noticed that acid techno is getting played less and less and a more percussive and/or funky techno seemes to be produced and hammered out alot @ the mo

 

all techno works 4 me tho - funky techno is the only kinda funk u'll catch me groovin to

 

i'm gettin all excited just thinking about techno - listening to chris liberator on trust the DJ radio

i'm [censored] with genres, but i thought acid techno was techno with lots of 303s in it and the stuff u'd expect on BXR (ie picotto techno)

 

still techno's techno is techno and i'll have to visit manc - been meenign to 4 ages

Im not up on techno really - i know Noggs who Djs at Havok plays bouncy acid techno stuff which crosses over into Hard House - like Vinylgroover .

OD404 and Lab4 have also played there.

yeah - acid technos easyer to mix with hard house cuz acid techno do [censored] well as a complete tune where as alot of the more percursive hard techno would sound [censored] if u didn't intermix it and do DJ tricks with it - techno is a v technical based genre and thats y i love mixing it - theres no waiting 4 a tune to finish b4 u can mix the next tune in - no set breaks 4 the mixing points of tracks etc - its v flexible and creative to mix with and the results can sound amazing even on 2 *ahem*beltdrive*ahem* decks and w/o an FX unit like the kaos pad

I just love the trancey breaks in tunes combied with a heavy baseline - ie Hard Tance - ive found my perfect music!

its good that ppl try other genres even if they dont like it cuz @ least it shows an open mindedness and willing to experement

 

i couldn't do ne hard trance clubs, but then i have done1 in the past and now i know that i dont like it i know what i do like and i can have a better time 4 it

As for clubs in London that play acid techno, ever been to the Fridge in Brixton ? I'm sure they have a few nights with suitable music.

been to the fridge 1nce to go to superfish other than that i havn't no - all the fridge line-ups i've seen have been hard house tho but then i haven't seen that venue battered about much either

 

and as 4 the techno, i'm not specifically after acid techno, funky will do. i just need a change from hard house.

I'm currently in the process of sorting out a trip to London in November for some techno/drum&bass.

 

The End on the 23rd November:

 

Open To Torture: Adam Beyer & Marco Corola (4 decks), Billy Nasty, Jim Masters.

 

Sounds pretty nice.

 

Went to Escape from Samsara a few months back at the Fridge; very good, but not a patch on a nice bit of filthy techno
