Over or under?

when you are replacing a roll, do you let the loose piece hang over the roll or under the roll.

 

i'm an under but all my friends seem to be overs.

Under. Apparently it is "officially" (whatever that's supposed to mean!!!!) supposed to be under.

Well that's how the queen has it anyway. (I read it in an interview with some royal butler or house maid or something a few months ago.)

 

All the more reason to have it "over" perhaps!
