CTW Members Scream Posted February 12, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted February 12, 2004 i wouldn't say it's easy at all. It's a pain in the fuckin ass if you don't know where to start. it's a lot easier if you've got someone pointing you in the right direction. CTW Members Homebru Posted February 15, 2004 CTW Members Share Posted February 15, 2004 QUOTE (Mr_Happy @ Feb 12 2004, 04:45 PM) how easy is it too self teach? i did have a copy of cubase (albeit not legitatly) with the intention of learning it and if i was to get any good then to purchase a copy. however i couldnt even workout how to get a kick drum going let along anything else if logic is any easyer for a novice like myself, is there anywhere i can download a trial version? I know what you mean, having recently been there myself. I'd recommend grabbing yourself a copy of Reason and the tutorial CD from the Propellerheads site. You'll be able to get something down that you'll be pleased with very quickly and it will set you up for a better understanding of how to work with Cubase / Logic, etc. Plus, magazines like Music Tech Magazine have Reason tutorials (as well as Cubase, etc) and in issue 10 they gave away a tutorial booklet that gives an insight into the new features for Reason 2.5. They also showed how to then control Reason from within Cubase (through the Rewire functionality) to combine the power of both applications. Worked for me! Hope it helps...
