I'm off to some Roland road show Mcjobby tonight, and I'm thinking of getting an SP505. This would mean that I can take samples off records/comp and have them ready to play at any point in a mix. And you can piss about with effects on the samples and the tunes your playing grin.gif

Just wondered if ne1 else used one, and how helpful they found it.

i have a basic 12 second or sumthin like that sampler on my mixer. tis nuffin spesh but u can change the speed and the vol and loop or 1 shot the samples so its more than enuf 4 me

i do use it, tis good fun n all, but i oftern find if just as easy to play the sample direct from the record rather than sample it then play it

Fair enough.

Just got back from this Roland show thing and they had an sp303 for £200 which looked quite tasty, but I really want an sp505 cause you can make tunes on it aswell with the samples youv'e put in icon_smile_cool.gif

I'd love to do what Fatboy did at BBB1 when her played a sample of Born Slippy, then brought in Right Here, then cut across to this really funky beat.

You got a pioneer mixer?

Wub: ooooh, I want one of those d2's.

Tommy: You'll get bored of it after 10 mins, it doesn't really do much.

10 mins later

Tommy: So you gonna get a d2 then?

Wub: Nah, bit bored of it now. laugh.gif

REALLY WANT A 505!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
