ok so it may have been about farts but i was still asking something relating to a "health" issue so it seemed appropriate for a forum entitled "Health Issues", funnily enough. you could have moved it to random, you didn't have to delete it.

 

i like the way something about farts gets deleted but:

 

"Need tips on scoring quality gear in london"

 

remains.

 

the modding on this board seems a little rough and heavy-handed sometimes, and most definitely unbalanced. we're not children, you know.

 

and how about mods are given guidelines as to what they can and can't lock. check the tunes & reviews forum for an example of this, it's not annoying or anything, it's just double-standards.

Tom, as a mod if I'm honest I never delete hardly anything, all I do is move stuff! And if I'm even more honest I totally agree with everything you say! Thanks for bringing this up and saying what you think, it makes a change!

I too never delete - unless its a post organising a guest list and its just people replying putting their names down - i update the first post with their name then delete their post.

 

i v. occassionally move posts but normally leave this to scum like Creamy to sort out ! lol

(hands up) I deleted it this morning - i meant to move it to the private forum where all the posts go until we decide whether they should be deleted or moved but in my mad rush this morning i deleted it by accident & didnt have chance to notify James about it.

I had left it for a few days to see if it was a serious post or not. As it appeared to not be very serious & was highjacked i decided to move it only ended up deleting it.

Myself & James are usually good with things like this after previous incidents in the past so appologies for cocking up this one!

suggestion: to lock (NOT delete) offending topics in future. locking them shows that the mods know they're beyond the guidelines of the forum, but that there's no "censorship" on CTW.
