how quick is broadband????

OMG how quick is broadband???? we've got it at home in the last few days (always had it at college) and the download times 4 MP3's is fuckin amazing!

[censored] knows wot mine is im not that technologically advanced! (even tho i do ICT A Level lol) our service provider is AOL tho

 

ive jst noticed how quick it is from downloadin, it used 2 take roughly 15 - 20 mins per song on a good day, now its like 4 - 5 mins!

Broadband is amazing!!!! I used 56k once since ive had it and it was sooooooo frustrating banghead.gif

lol broadband is the collective term for this kinda technology, but then it has groups of speeds. LOL.

 

You're probably on 512kbps. Anything faster at the moment to the general user is pretty pointless as you will only go as fast as the hosts upload stream.

You sort of have a point, yup it is dependant on the hosts upload stream... *But* if you have multiple operations going on at once (loads of downloads, uploads, etc, etc) then the bigger the pipe, the better....

 

Got a 1Mbit Blueyonder connection at mo... Will get 2Mbit...
