Basically, yes. By doing this everyone is feeling part of the site. Specially the ones who moan alot and don;t feel part of the site. Instead of constantly [censored] moaning and slagging every fucker off at the same time, Well, now's your chance. If you want something done, then let James or Sarah know. Im sure none of the suggestions you will put forward will not be thrown aside and ignored, not by refering to the last few days/slaggings etc on here anyway.

we have always encouraged people to get involved in the site and to help out and move the site forward and into something which caters for what people want. very sadly, and suprisingly, there are very few people who will get involved for free or who will donate as much time as we do. it is also very difficult choosing the right people for the job and people who want to get involved for the right reasons.

i've not read all the comments/replies in this topic, but have read a fair few.

 

I've been signed up to this site for a fairly ong time no, but only started posting in the last few months after i left the tidy board for personal reasons. The first thing that struck me about it was that everybody was really friendly and a LOT of people welcomed me to the site in my post on the new peoples forum bit, this impressed me as at tidy i vaugely remmebr getting very few replies, everybody seemed to have their own little group (however this did change later on)

 

The second thing i really like about this site is as far as i can tell (and admitedly there are a few of the forums i don't read) is that it is very much geared towards the members and users of the site. I've seen it mentioned in numerous posts on here about the main aim being to help bring the clubbing community together using meet-ups @ clubs and other events. This is another thing i've really liked about it. Although sadly cause of money troubles for about the last 2 years i haven't managed to get out to meet any of you yet and have really on.y been clubbing a couple of times. Yet i have still felt very much welcomed on this board and like to think i've made a few friends on here, and would like to make a few more by getting out and meeting a few of you now i've finally got a job wooo hoooo

 

As for the comments about james and sarah, i can't really make too many comments on thse not having been here all that long, but james from what i can tell is doing an excellent job with the site, especially (as has been pointed out to me in this post) as he has a full time job. As for sarah, i've only met her once i think, and that was when she gave me and my ex a lift from Leicester to Leeds to go to tidy ltd. She had never met us before, and knew practically nothing about us yet was still happy to offer us a lift. This puts her firmly in my good books. I don't have any other situations to comapre it to and until i do this feeling isn't gonna change

 

The other thing which i do agree with that has been pointed out in this post, is that maybe the forums need to be moderated a little more thouroughly and possibly removing some of the more blatantly nasty threads. I understand that this is a lot of work to read through all the posts and the moderators are busy but i think it would help the site

 

As for creamey, i've never seen him post anything thats made so much sense in my whole time on this board, lol. Or anything as nice. But i do understand that all his seemingly nasty comments are meant to be taken with a tongue in cheek attitude. So until i can meet him in person i'll reserve any judgements on him.

 

Anyway, this is my thoughts on ctw. I may be wrong about some of it, but this is all based on what i've read, seen and heard. And until i read, see or hear differently my opinions are not gonna change. This is an ace site full of friendly people.

however all i can say to everyone is...

 

its an INTERNET CHAT BOARD!!!! dont let it take over your life!- i know you can say talk for yourself sophie, however in the past year i really have learnt not to listen really to any one of you! if someone is slagging me off etc, then i just ignore it and i deffinately dont take it to heart like i used to a year ago!

 

also guys your life really shouldent evolve arround an internet chat room! it really worries me that you guys waste your time on the net, whilst you could have fantastic skills or be really good at something! if you get a chance take it! i did with going to uni! i could of easilly spent all my time on the net talking to peeps, instead i worked my arse of and passed my first year!

 

 

also MR annon- i really think that if you have a problem with the way this site runs then perhaps you should move to a different site that does cater for your needs. clearly you have a problem with james or sarah.. and the way this site is run!

 

well my advice.. GET OVER IT! its an internet chat room and it here for FUN! not so that people end up having a nurvose break down over it! just as james said if you have a problem with it then offer help to to try and sort it! if not leave!

I've only been a member of this site for about a month now so can't comment wholly on what's being said other than my views.

Firstly what a friendly site this is, I never thought of joining at first, mainly because of my age as clubbing is foremost for the younger ones - or these forums are, but I was welcomed.

Since my joining I have met about a dozen people off here which was excellent and surely what this site was created for.

I know I posted recently about the 'banter' going on and how most took it as 'banter' yes it did progress to pure slating of some people, which to some on the outside it may have been humorous, but i'm sure the people involved didn't think that.

I personally have no bad issues with the site, i'm on it daily almost but, I also think the only way to progress is to remember this is James(Sarahs) site he started it, he can finish it, i'm sure they need this crap like a hole in their heads, (more so being away on holiday) it is up to James(Sarah) to define what is needed of the moderators and what is, or is not to be acceptable on here.

I love this site all the forums smut & random alike well done James, Sarah and all the Mods

While I would agree with you that its only an internet chat room, it is also a place to meet like minded people and arrange social events between the members of the board. Far from being unproductive, it has allowed for people to meet and exchange ideas on a number of subjects, the obvious being DJ's.

 

I would say that most people on here are chasing their desired professions or are working in them. I would also add that people do have other things to do in the evenings and weekends but if your let down by friends and you can't be bothered to watch the soaps, then the forums doors are open for a chat.

i totally agree with that! the reason i come on here in the evenings is cos im not busy or theres nothing on tv! however i notice there are some people on here all day and all night!.....

Yeah it gets Very boring at times, well a lot off the time on CTW. Mind you so does the times my mates are too busy staying in smoking pipes and admiring their new smoking jackets and slippers.
