Hence, techno DJ's are often found to play on more than two decks. Me thinks anyway. The tunes are almost just meant to be pieces of the puzzle, not neccessarily enjoyable on their own, but more so when overlapped with other tracks. Having said that, that could apply to all dance music. Its just that genres like prog, and techno get tunes that are geared more towards just being a smaller piece of the puzzle. So when you hear a hardhouse DJ play, you might think wow what a [censored] tune! In a techno set you think, wow, that is really working and fitting in with what else is going on in this set. But I [censored] love hardhouse anyway, and the sun aren't exactly known for their support of dance music anyway. Cast your minds back to the Anti Rave days in the early 90's the sun lead the way for the I hate dance music goons. So [censored] em. Quote The adventures of... Your views? its very true - all club music is repetative and hard house especially has a lack of melody, lyrics and funk of 'normal' music but u have to bare in mind that the suns term of 'normal' music would be everythin from compertial pop to indie. and ne kinda of radio friendly music has to be much shorter with more 'features' in it. club music is designed to work in combination with other tunes so they oftern sound a little dull on thier own if ur not patient enuf to listen to the set as a whole, how ever 'normal' music is designed to be played alot on its own hard house is 4 work genre 4 vocals, imo with out a doubt. i meen since when has "drop the bass" or "what we're gonna do here is go back" or "kick it" etc ever been an example of sum1s creative writting? a vocal hard house tune is few and far bettwen and most definatly not the norm. hard house isnt ment to be funky either. its just ment to be hard (and cheesy ) u cant really turn aorund tho and say "well techno is more dull" etc as the only other club music the sun probably get exposed to is trance (and the worst kinda of it i would imagin), and perhaps house (again the more accessible variety) as i would be v suprised if they made frequant trips to clubs so they probably base thier analysis on complation cds and we all know that cd's r the worst medium for protraying club music in its true glory thats my thoughts ne way Quote Mr Happy's fishy fish MangaFish munch munch MSN & e-mail - mangafish@mangafish.net AOL - MangaMorgan Online mixes - http://www.mangafish.net/mixes/

Anyone that can take 2 or more tunes, and layer them so that they sound like one different tune is incredibly talented! Saw Sterling Moss play @ Storm....he had 2 tunes on the go, a 909 playing over the top, and was scratching on the 3rd deck.....to say it was amazing is a huge understatement! There is a LOT of variation in the 'hardhouse' genre... you cant honestly say a tune by Eufex and a tune by Ingo are anything like each other can ya?
