Yes, that's your way of reading the context.

Sometimes it's pretty obvious Maria. E.g. using my previous example, whether TdV is a nice bloke has fuck all to do with a debate about whether he was a good DJ/producer. Ergo, it's just an excuse to mention the fact that one has met him.

Some people like to comment that they met someone who they think is a good DJ, someothers blatantly DO name drop and show off, I agree. But Lisas intent is NEVER to show off or 'name drop' as you put it.

Thats sounds like it may be directed at me.........if so i had met him, i am pretty much best mates with his dad (Whom i take to ibiza with me every year without fail), i am promoter for all TDV london events and have held memorials in Brixton Academy & Heaven and raised thousands of pounds for charity, so i think i have a right to say my piece of anything related to Tony! thumbsup.gif

i'm sure it was a genralised comment. TDV could have been interchangeable with andy farly, paul glazby etc.

I am specifically criticising name-dropping, which is a completely different thing.

 

The TdV debates are a little distant, so I can't remember whether I had any specific objections to your posts. smile.gif

Anyhow it's not a big deal to me, I'm not gonna lose any sleep over it; I just think name-dropping is a bit sad.

I have recieved one pm from you, in reply to my first one I sent you, saying that you would reply to my pm, when you get home as you was leaving work, I seen you on line several times & pm'd you, you chose to ignore, then after a while, you posted on the board!!!

Mr Happy talks some bollocks sometimes. Also, I think he's over-reacted a little on this occasion. However he's anything but boring!

 

Just my two cents Lisa - I think you over-reacted to Mr Happy's original joke (i.e. substituting "dickhead" in his quote of my post!) Even if it wasn't very funny (well I laughed!) it was still blatantly a joke.
