GUTTED!!!! The end of North @ The Void!!!

Just recieved this e-mail! I heard the rumours a couple of days ago and hoped that if it was true something would be sorted - but obviously not! whats more gutting is that I was due to play my first set at The Void at the next event!! bah!

RE THE VOID

Unfortunately our planned event on June 27th has had to be cancelled due to the closure of the Void for the 2nd time in as many years. There is absolutely nothing we can do to put on this event there are no suitable venues in the Midlands at such short notice this also means that all future planned events at the Void are also cancelled Aug 22nd & dec 27th were planned dates...We do have plans for numerous tour dates around the country throughout the summer & autumn so no need to get desperate just yet.. Although we don't have any plans for anymore solo events in the midlands/ North west at the moment but that doesn't mean we will never hold another event in either of these areas..

 

On a much brighter note our last event at Lakota was amazing the best one yet & well worth a 2 or 3 hour journey.. Both rooms were packed the NEW chillout room went down a storm.. as did the fire perfiormers, stilt walkers & bongo/ tomtom players.. all of whom will be back on Aug 1st.. our next main event.. We will now be mainly concentrating our efforts in Bristol where things are getting better as each event passes.

 

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support at the void over the last 6 years we would particularly like to Thank our residents Dolphin, Ezy, Mark EG, Mzone, Ikon, Producer, Ribbz, Scorpio, Squidgy B as well as Toby (sound engineer), Baz (till), Zoe (shop) Ade (website). Also special notes of Thanks for their help & support over the years go to Quinny, Ian Addiction, Drokz, Sass, Simon Underground & anyone who has handed out flyers ran coaches etc.. I think we've all had some memorable nights at this phenominal venue & we hope to see you all in Bristol on August 1st..
