It had not occurred to me that a straight person might deliberately act camp. But as I said, I have the same reservations about a straight person with a front, as I do about a gay person with a front. Which is why, when people put on a front, it makes me wonder what they really are about. If you have an interesting personality then why do you need to put on a certain act to get attention? Yup, I knew... Sorry!!! Just wanted to have it made clear in case others didn't fully understand what you were saying... liquideyes said: It had not occurred to me that a straight person might deliberately act camp. It's a crying shame, but over the next 5/10 years I think we'll see less of it. CTW Members Bukey Posted July 2, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted July 2, 2003 Ultimately, being gay is about being able to fall in love with someone of the same sex, and being attracted "in that way" both mentally and physically to someone of the same sex... Apart from that, it's no different to being straight. I know that it's difficult (if indeed possible) for straight people to fully understand being able to fall in love and being attracted to someone of the same sex. Indeed, the same is true of gay people and fully understanding falling in love with and being attracted to someone of the opposite sex. It's not about understanding it - it's about accepting it and living and let live. For anyone that hasn't already seen the films Get Real and Beautiful Thing, I'd recommend them as coming-of-age stories of our time... CTW Members LiquidEyes Posted July 9, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted July 9, 2003 I suspect that it is just the minority who are so, shall we say, sexually liberated. I am equally disgusted by straight people who do what should be "private" stuff in public.

And I wish something would be done to stop these idiots. occasionalcharlie said: it's rediculous the way the gay society is portrayed nowadays, people think it's great to be gay, well to be fair it [censored] stinks. Gotta say that homosexuality and bisexuality has always existed, in humans and in every animal species too.... The bible however, was put together by a group of people picking and choosing which other books to compile into the bible with bits left out here and bits put in there... In other words, homosexuality, bisexuality and heterosexuality are all perfectly natural. The bible, and peoples other beliefs, are all synthetic and are down to the conditioning and education we have had as kids, right through to the present day. occasionalcharlie said: i have gone off after clubs so badly because of the way gay people act. if i were to start shaggin a bird in the loo i don't think i'd get away with it so why should gay people. People who know me what I think of shagging in toilets - I really don't think there's any need for it. Again, in Afters I think its said few individuals again. I have, however, on every occasion I've been to afters, seen a straight couple come out of a cubicle after shagging. Don't misunderstand me - I don't like it whatever the combination. People can go home to shag - it doesn't need to be in the toilets of a club. But it's not just gay peeps that do it. occasionalcharlie said: if you wanna be gay do it at home. 'Fraid not matey... I'll be me - in the street, at home, in a club, in a shop - all the time. I'm a guy that's gay, and that's a small part of me (as is the fact that the colour of my hair is black). I won't hide myself, I won't apologise for it, I won't act any differently, I'll just be me - wherever I am. The only people my sexuality affects are me, and anyone that I happen to have relationships with. All I ask is to be treated exactly the same as anyone else - regardless of sexuality. No special treatment (positive or negative), no favours, just as another bloke. occasionalcharlie said: sorry if this has offended any one but you asked fot views on gay people they're mine. Nah, not offended! Discussion is healthy! i don't mean be gay just at home mate, i mean that i don't agree with the way it is in your face like in the after clubs n [censored], i meant by that to go out and enjoy yourself in the clubs gay or not,but if you want get involved in sexual activities then go home. not that you want this in the clubs either mate you know. but i still think men are for women and that's it. there's no excuse for wanting to be with a man if you're not a woman and viceversa.
