Dynamic/Updateable DJ Profiles

mate you going to sort the DJ Profile section to the site out to be dynamic? Me know you a busy chap, just wondering, if you wanted me to send the code to you that i used for another site? Got the admin code too if you want, that you can customise to the same feel of ctw.

Hi mate,

 

well as you know i've only just got the whole site moved across (been wanting to sort this out for MONTHS) so now i can relax a bit and actually get on with this new stuff. I'm staying in at least 2 weekends a month from now on to get on with expanding the site.

 

If your code is php/mysql then send it on mate! I need/want to integrate with ubb authenticity (at the mo).

 

Everything will go dynamic in time

 

The main priorities i'm working on now are the club listings & events seperate sections.

I'm trying to leave the 'live' box alone but looking at a possible development environment which you could work on with me perhaps, but currently this is not hooked up to the net so i'll keep you posted.

I wasnt originally going to put up any of the profiles until they could all be dynamic but it became a priority and so we opted for a content manager in the interim, this content manager has recently changed to be mysql based but it only really any good for 'free-text' articles - which for the likes of the DJ sections and events & clubs sections we cant do any serious analysis on.

 

From now on i'm hoping we can take our time and get these sections up properly, leaving the odd specific/custom web page to the CMS to deal with. Even the reviews will be submitted through a new dynamic engine - so any member can post a music/club chart/review (with approval built in obviously )

Ive seen the site Scream did & its wikid! Would be great to have something like that on here as well.

yep we will have.

 

its only now i'm actually able to start working on stuff properly now that i know the web hosting is far more stable.

 

si has sent me the scripts but i need to integrate them into our user authentication and set up some coding standards. once the first few scripts are up i reckon the other club/events listings will be up really quick and i can finally get round to implementing all the ideas we and the other members have had
