Dave Angel is playing at Cypher on the Renfrew Ferry (Clyde Place), that might be worth checking out. by the way it's an actual ferry. or there's another night called Substorm at Blackfriars Basement (till 1am) or Subscience at the Q Club (till 3am), both with local-ish DJs. all of them techno.... better than a cheesy night out.... CTW Members Signum Posted July 30, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted July 30, 2003 I can confirm toms info that the only real trance night (Inside Out) at the arches is not on this weekend (its deep dish, I bet you would have enjoyed it though, oh well If I was to suggest an alternative place on the Friday it would be at "Mas" for "tronicsole & tracktion sessions" Its a cool venue and a good night with deep and funky house, not too expensive, 5 or 6 quid entry (arches is 18...) and open till 3. Its on the Royal Exchange square, very close to both Queen St station and Central (though I think you will arrive at Central) and the rest of the decent city centre pubs and clubs (oh yes, there are no other decent clubs ner - all cheesy or wank imo) On the Saturday there´s deep dish like I said but maybe not your thing, about as far away from HH and trance as you could probably get Mas has another night Soulsa which I hear is ok, but no first hand experience.. You could try Cube for some house including apparently "old school house" hehe but it can be wank sometimes and not let you in....for no reason So I´m pretty certain along with tom there´s no hh nights to be had, if you are interested in anywhere I suggested PM me and I´ll give you directions to them etc. you could try itchy glasgow for a basic round up of the clubs on offer on the friday and saturday, but its mostly deep house, cheese, or wank - der ya go Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

CTW Members Signum Posted July 31, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted July 31, 2003 Thanks to my absence from Glasgow I forgot to look up the other night that Inside Out now runs at another venue from the arches - same dj´s and crowd etc, just a different place. On this saturday at the Carling academy they´ve got Jules and Halliwell, I´ve heard its still a good night even though its not the arches, so if I was to reccommend anywhere likely to suit your request of hh or trance it would be this one...
