I always say what I think and if you have a problem with that then carry on with your arse licking elsewhere. I said way in advance thanks, just because I weren't going dont mean to say the whole night is cancelled. YOU were still going and why does it bother you so much ? Why dont you run back to Freestyler / Viva La Trance cos you are only harming our reputation here (if we've got one at all ???) Harming your reptuation?! Oh come on, the only way you make progress is from identifying your mistakes and learning from them, surely? yeah, and we HAVE and we ARE working on improving our organisation - as mentioned and stated in several posts already. Seems to me that people like you, Rick and a couple of others are here purely to pick up on our mistakes and NEVER help out in the slightest, unless its on behalf of someone else / another organisation / site. Rick D's yawning emoticon pretty much sums up his input to this site. James I have been here right from the start and not once have you asked me to help out in any way, what do you want me to do? What do I have to do to prove I'm a worthy member? For fucks sake, lighten up.
CTW Moderators Maria Posted August 4, 2003 CTW Moderators Share Posted August 4, 2003 [censored] happens. All mistaks are put down to a "learning curve". Faults are recognised and then are put into practice to make the next one and even better success. But can I just point out one thing, Kev and James arranged the weekend, yes. Becuase of things getting in the way, you know, like hvaing to work, and then having to travel through heavy traffic - they planned the weekend for the ppl who went. We showed up. We could have taken the piss and not even bothered to show up. If certain priorities get in the way and prevent ppl from travelling all that way, unfortunalty, that is life. If you cant make it to such and such a place, then it's tuff. No can do. But the point im trying to make here, is, Kev went out of his way to sort out accomodation for the ppl who went for the weekend. If im right he called about 150 hotels and B&Bs to sort you lot out. Just becasue we didn't turn up on the Friday, doesnt mean things were'nt getting organised for the ones who decided to leave on the Saturday - or not even bother to wait for us to get through the traffic on Saturday on our way down to B/M. Kev made the weekend happen for you lot. Kev goes out of his way to organise the weekend, sort out accom etc OFF HIS OWN BACK, but yet you all moan that we we didn't even show up on the Friday. I had to come all the way from Wales - so a few things were preventing me to get there on friday as early as possible. It's not that I was not to show up - 3 hours on a train to get to James' and then to bournmouth I think is dedication enough. Plus the nearly 4 hour drive me and James had to endure on our way down and be stuck in traffic for over an hour and a half. As well as Kevs 3 hour coach journey. Im sorry, but I htink you all need to know that this site is still in it's "upbringing" and faults and [censored] ups will happen. It will only get better. But feel free to carry on slating the way things tend to "not work out". If your not willing to help and support and realise these faults are meant to happen, get recognised, and fixed, then STFU SO BAD. Kev = RESPECT - ya get me ? CTW Admin James Posted August 4, 2003 CTW Admin Share Posted August 4, 2003 Kev, I say we drop this and give up on trying to get our point across to people who just dont understand the concept here. We [censored] up, and we'll [censored] up again in the future - but hopefully fewer times. I would be going Edinburgh this weekend if I had £200+ to spare. Thats my fault / my cock up - it would have only cost perhaps £100 had I booked all this a few months before - which is EXACTLY what we're looking at doing from this day forth. I am still worried however that it will just be 3 or 4 of us making the effort looking forward. Who knows, who cares, we're still having a great time meeting the people living in these respective areas. CTW Members Capn Jack Posted August 4, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted August 4, 2003 How [censored] pathetic!! If some people can't make it and others do, then its a meetup. Do James, Maria and CreamyC need to be at every meetup to make it a proper CTW meetup? I don't think so! They make an extraodinary effort to make it to meetups and when one or two don't go as planned, all the whiners come out complaining, why? For selfish reasons!! No one else ruins a meet up, but the person who makes it an issue to complain about some people being unable to make it! Just shut up and enjoy yourself and stop taking it out on other people when things don't go your way! Quote I don't do much on this planet, but David Blaine has taught me that I could do less!! CTW Members Tara Posted August 4, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted August 4, 2003 Creamy, if you read the posts clearly you will see that since finding out about that CTW night I have put my name down to attend. But I'm starting to wonder why I bother to support this site if all I get is slagged off for simply stating my mind! Can't you handle constructive criticism? God forbid the day Kev gives up trying to organise some of these trips because i certainly wont be arsed to do it now i know how much effort goes in and how much actual thanks he gets. CTW Members Tara Posted August 4, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted August 4, 2003 Ok well a piece of constructive criticism for you. Weekenders like these need to be PROPERLY organised in advance. Yes, it was good of Creamy to try and sort out the accomodation of his own back. However this would not have been as big a problem if it had been arranged in advance! We are all well aware that it is peak season and will be busy at the seaside so advance booking is essential. That means not leaving it until the week before! CTW Promotors CreamyC Posted August 4, 2003 CTW Promotors Share Posted August 4, 2003 Who helps out on this site: TONY P - Sorting out a night for CTW and even putting himself in a different room so ALL DJ's can play. As well as that he has been supportive of the concept of this site from day one. TOMD - Provided untold amounts of help for the Edinburgh weekender, advice is always at hand to how we can improve. And provides CONSTRUCTIVE criticism rather than the slagging off comments. LIAMSTYLES - Like Tom, shitloads of advice for the Ireland meet-up, we also [censored] this weekend up back in July but its back on for November, always giving useful advice and always there to help out if needed. And hes in IRELAND. There are many others that provide the same help but those I've mentioned are the ones that have sorted out up and coming weekends.
