Yup. I wouldnt even bother e:mailing them mate, They are very unreliable replying, or they would just send you back an automated reply through laziness. The e:mail facility is dire. Luckily I dont seem to have a problem with the e:mail and never have either shrug.gif.

 

There e:mail is [censored] as [censored]. They should scrap it - there has been never ending problems with the e:mail service for MONTHS.

 

Their mail service is [censored] crap. I would never rely on NTL e:mail's service. It's poor to say the least. I have mail accounts with them but I don;t use them as my everyday use ones. Coz it's unreliable !

thing is, my primary account (chris83@ntlworld.com) is fine - never had a problem with it, its my other account I have (c_hutchinson@ntlworld.com) which fucks up every other day and I cant understand why frown.gif

 

Tis annoying as hell!!

 

Do you know of any other e-mail accounts I can get (other then hotmail) where I can use outlook express with it??

Why don't you delete the account that you are having problems with and then re-ad it ?

 

It usually sorts the problem out. But the most comman problem at the mo with the e:mail accounts is that when you are downloading your e:mails, it just hangs and repeates the attempt to download the e:mails every 60 seconds.

 

Its worth a try grin.gif

cos then it says 'username is already taken' - Have tried that trick with 3 e-mail addys already (including chris-hutchinson@ntlworld.com which is what I originally wanted!) banghead.gif

nono I mean, go into your e:mail client settings, delete the account in the mail tab and re-ad the address.

 

BTW, if you didn;t know, you can go to www.ntlworld.com and as that page appears, there is an option there that says "webmail log in". Stick your UN & PASS in there (preferable the account you arehaving problems with) and you can access those mails there.

i did lol - used the primary account to login to the add/delete mailboxes bit and did from there

 

the webmail logins dont work either (although they do for my chris83 account.....)

aaah commen error mate !

 

You migth wana double check tho, that you POP and SMTP servers are "pop.ntlworld.com" "smtp.ntlworld.com". all in lower case lettering as it is case sesitive, aswell as the U&P.

 

If all is correct then it NThELL to which im sure they will sort out sooner or later. But maybe not haha

 

It effects random e:mail accounts too.
