CTW Members Mr Happy Posted August 16, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted August 16, 2003 basically, like so many other bedroom DJs the moment i hit record i cant mix to same my life. i cant mix normally (albeit it not to a professional standard, but then i dont pretend to want to be a professional either), just cant mix when ever i'm recording a mix. bascially a mate (majikman) suggested i get pissed and do a mixed cd. so i took him up on this idea and mixed the best fukin cd of my life! great i think! now lets save it. what do i do? i fukin delete it by accident as i'm too pissed to work a computer properly tryed another 4 times afterwards and i cant even get close to that cd. infact i cant even remember what tunes i've played i'm soo drunk let alone being able to progress a set like that cd this wouldnt be soo bad if i want sooo busy and it didnt take me THREE fukin months to get round to doing a new cd. and i know after 2day i'm not gonna have chance to do another cd till mid september at the earlyest this how senario is sooo funny i admit, but i'm sooo pissed off i just wanna punish sum1 p.s. that genuinly was the best mix i did in my life as well Quote Mr Happy's fishy fish MangaFish munch munch MSN & e-mail - mangafish@mangafish.net AOL - MangaMorgan Online mixes - http://www.mangafish.net/mixes/

CTW DJs Phil B Posted August 16, 2003 CTW DJs Share Posted August 16, 2003 I find that when you do a mix that is the only time for those tunes to be played in that order because the buzz is there and then......trying to recapture the buzz of a mix you've done before is something i find very elusive.....if I do a mix and don't like it when I listen to it I just delete it and forget all about it! CTW Members tommy Posted August 17, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted August 17, 2003 I get the same prob, which I really need to sort out cause I wanna do a load of cds to give out at Hyde Park/Widchild (one will have ur name on it Laurence). Only advice is record a mix every day so you get used to it, and eventually you'll end up with a mix you like. (A freind told me that mixing on whizz is supposed to be quite good !)
