acid trance is basically un-cheesy hardtrance with a noice 303 line running through it.... get hold of my 'creation control' cd from loudy and have a listen to track 6, 12 or 13 (that cd was more based around hh and ht hence only 3 tracks which scrape it)

freeform is trance played at about 170bpm.....

[censored] hell, you've just blown my mind.

What tunes would you call cheesy HardTrance ??

high-pitched riffs that sound as tho they have taken 2 seconds to create.... the sorta hardtrance that makes you cringe when ya hear it lol

I 'pitch-mix' where I have to, occasionally a touch on the record/platter may be required but I do tend to stay off doing that...I find alot of it depends on how well the decks are kept, some decks hold pitch better than others, if the decks have been sped up the pitch slider reacts differently (imo) and an even more delicate touch is required!

Again as with most things, it's what works best for the DJ personally.....if it aint broke don't try to fix it laugh.gif

I used to get slated for uing my fingers on the record to speed it up or slow it down. I used to get slated by others for only using the pitch control. Now I don't give a flying [censored] what i do so long as the mix is tight. I find i start off with using my fingers on the record to get it to a speed that's *near enough* then i fine tune it just using the pitch. Both ways work nicely for me

Well the method i use is quite different to all of the above, but its cos im special me.

I get someone else to do my mixing. I just stand behind the decks and look cool.

Most effective, although im not sure if they touch the vinyl or "pitch mix", im too busy drinking champagne to notice, or care really.
