besides, as has been said in countless threads before, it's not even original any more. the execs at Cyberdog Ltd have proved that you can market pretty much anything to the chemical generation if it's bright enough. giving people the belief that you wear these clothes and you'll be "individual"? what, just in the combination of different Cyberdog top and trousers you're wearing?

But does it matter if there NOT individual?

You don't say "People should stop wearing Levi's cos it just isn't original any more"

And every clothes manufacture tries to convince people that wearing their clothes makes them individual.

Anyone who wears any off-the-peg clothing and thinks they are original is merely deluding themselves.

Cyberdog clothing is popular because they do (some) good (if expensive) designs, well made, and have got their name out there. There are plenty of other makers of cyber clothing out there, but who is gonna spend £50 on a top over the internet from a manufacturer you have never heard of?

Agreed

I think everyone has murderous thoughts (or is it just me?) but it is only murderers that act upon them.

nah, not just you, there are two or three select people that i could honestly say i would be quite happy with the thought of them dying and me doing the killing smile.gif but that's just me.

bloody hell... long thread... only scanned most of the posts, so comments not aimed at anyone in particular smile.gif

(1) Variety

Variety/ diversity is v v good (hmm think I might have rambled on about this in another thread somewhere)...

Whilst i've never cybered, and personally think the scene is a bit funny at times... i reckon the world would be a poorer place if there weren't people out there dressing v differently... and esp making/ adapting their own clothes for going out!

for me there's no contradiction in saying (a) I don't like something, and (B) Still being glad it's there

(2) Comedy

Comedy/ jokes that make ppl laugh are good

Comedy/ jokes that hurt ppl (in fact hurt anyone) suck

If the comedy ends up really hurting someone, i reckon that's the responsibility of the comedian to apologise IMHO...

personally i think it often shows a [censored] loads of character when someone mis-interprets a situation... says something (e.g. a joke)... hurts someone... and then has the guts to come back and simply say sorry i f*cked up

ps - hope y'all have a cool weekend out there ppl

comments about cyber being original: it's not original anymore (that's not the idea is it?) it is more interesting than t shirt and jeans, and it's just "fun"

comments about laughing at drunks: laughing at cybers is different because cybers are less likely to bottle you. laugh at a group of ppl done up in their football countries colours, or some1 so pissed they can't see properly, and you're much more likely to end up with blood coming out of you

if cybergear clothing was traditionally associated with that virus in '28 days later' - you wouldn't laugh. you'd stare, and back off, quick. it's because cyber is associated with a drug that helps ppl enjoy themselves.

i stand by my comment, on this site people are too fast to condemn people once a couple of people have expressed the same view as theirs. people become an easy target because they have other people on their side all of a sudden and its alot easier to speak up with people behind you.

i agree with you to some extent but, surely, it happens on both sides of most debates?

i'm not sure what makes it specific to the 'PC' side of a discussion (which is what, i think, you are implying?)

i stand by my point that accusing somebody of jumping on a bandwagon is nothing more than a diversionary tactic (because it has nothing to do with the issue at hand). it is, ironically, often in itself simply a way of jumping on a different bandwagon.

Jay said:personally i find that a bit sad because if u have a strong ebnough view to make you should be able to make a comment and stand by it without the support of numbers

i'm not sure if this is aimed specifically at me but i have no problem standing by my opinion, on my own if necessary. i also have no problem admitting when i'm misinformed or just plain wrong - something i think some people do have a problem with... smile.gif

errrr..... yes. i myself own one cyberdog t-shirt because i thought it looked pretty cool and....

what i was trying to say was that some people who wear cyberdog think they're being individual, just because it looks out-of-the-ordinary. but they're not.

it's just like any other type of clothing except it's bright and it flashes. bit like cycle safety gear.

Look,cybers look like twats.

As long as their happy twats then there should'nt really be a problem.

If your gonna make a statement by daring to appear different, then as well as accepting the plaudits, learn to accept the critiscm.

If it hurts your feelings, then tough [censored].Either throw on a ben sherman and stop whining,or toughen up and stand by your convictions.
