[ Suggestion ] - Extended Member Profiles

Ok,

 

I've mentioned this before but I really am in a position now to sort these out.

 

Just after some of your ideas as to what should be in the generic profiles. E.g.

 

1) My Clubbing Dates / My Calendar (not sure on the format of this yet, ideally a small calendar for each user so people can see where you are clubbing & when, also where you have clubbed / who with - initial version will be very simple but I think this could eventually have loads of functionality in it, including being able to set public/private events and/or public to select 'Friendship Groups' that you have selected and other members have approved)

 

2) My Clubbing Friends/Group(s) (this could be fairly complex but basically I'm wanting to track who clubs with who and at which clubs, this is so we can try and automate certain things, such as sending 'group PMs' out to friendship groups and organising your own meet etc..

 

3) Extended User Profile (basically the same as profiles now but with a lot more questions / information - again able to set some or all of the additional fields to public/private. E.g. you want to fill in your contact details but you only want members within your allocated friendship group(s) to see them)

 

4) DJ Profile (this would be a seperate user-updateable profile, possibly with a very small annual fee for site contribution)

 

Long long term members will be able to set their attendance on an event (confirmed, tentative etc..) and only confirm one event on that night at that time. There will then be a follow up process to see who actually turned up (validated by your friends / other CTW members who did turn up). Over time we'll be able to get much better at arranging meet-ups and also automate guest-lists much better - and of course the ones who have been here the longest / supported the CTW meets the most will get more percs / better guest-lists etc... I predict that once we can start storing more useful information in regards to the types of events you like, the music styles, the locations etc... the promotors will be able to offer us much better deals as we'll be able to gaurantee attendances. I'm hoping there will also be some kind of simple points system which can build up overtime and again offer the dedicated clubbers more offers. We can also do stuff like offer cheaper guest list prices to those travelling the furthest to an event etc..

 

This is all up in the air but stuff which has been thought about for many months and which Bukey and myself are discussing more seriously now.
