I have to disagree. Seriously? As long as Trudes isn't desperate for work, i think she did the right thing. Altering your conditions of work at that stage was dispicable! I'm not talking about the drug-testing (although that's disgusting too), but the fact that they decided to lower her pay after already agreeing to her salary! I definitely wouldn't have stood for that. I think i would have handled it differently, however. I would have insisted on the original agreed rate of pay, or threatened to walk. CTW Members Trudes Posted August 31, 2003 Author CTW Members Share Posted August 31, 2003 unfortunately with it being an agency i couldn't insist that the company pay me the aggreed salary, but i'm not desperate for a job so it doesn't really matter, it was the agency i'm more disgusted at cos they say they knew that the pay was going to less and about the drug testing but said nothing to their workers, which is the main reason i walked out, it wasn't the company so much as the agency i won't work for, if they'd told me to start with that there would be random drug tests then i would said fair enough cos i knew about it, and if they tld me bout the lower pay i would never ahve taken the job to start with, as there was no way i would've been able to manage on what they lowered it to, could only just manage on the original pay let alone a lower one Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
