I didnt know that about preloading ohmy.gif i always take one before i go out ohmy.gif

Don't think one will do you any harm. It takes quite a lot of serotonin floating around to cause the syndrome

Hi all, dunno if this has already been mentioned as couldn't be bothered reading all the posts. What you expereienced teabag was a thing called Sleep Paralysis, its very common and can be caused by a wide range of things, mainly lack of sleep or irregular sleeping patterns (or lots of drugs). Its perfectly harmless and does you no harm whatsoever, its where ya body falls asleep but ya mind stays awake. The hallucinations that u had are just a side effect of the paralysis, not caused by the acid. Those "shocks" that ya get are just when ya bodies feeling really tired and when it falls asleep for a split second, causing it to jolt, I know the feeling, it feels like a big electric shock.

I used to get it quite a lot, it used to shit me up a bit coz i never knew what it was, I stil get it every now n again but doesn't bother me as much any more.

Just do a search on google or summet for "sleep paralysis", theres loads of info out there about it.

Fuckin hell, went on a bit there didnt i, just trying to help! blahblah.gifrolleyes.gif

That sounds pretty scary stuff, lisa do you get the feeling of a presence aswell as the inability to move?

QUOTE

Sleep paralysis is a condition in which someone, most often lying in a supine (face up) position, about to drop off to sleep, or just upon awaking from sleep realizes that s/he is unable to move, or speak, or cry out. This may last a few seconds or several moments, occasionally longer. People frequently report feeling a 'presence' that is often described as malevolent, threatening, or evil. An intense sense of dread and terror is very common. The presence is likely to be vaguely felt or sensed just out of sight but thought to be watching or monitoring, often with intense interest, sometimes standing by, or sitting on the bed. On some occasions, the presence may attack, strangling and exerting crushing pressure on the chest.

wow. i've heard voices in my head before, but thats usually when i'm literally just about to fall asleep, but because the voices take me by surprise, i wake up big time.

I dont think it has happened to me for quite a while., Never heard of the term Sleep Paralysis before though, it does make interesting reading even though i'm sure going through the experience for many people is quite alarming.

well basically it's the opposite of sleep walking, really. I was on medication for it as I say I have had it years, along with epilepsy, but touch wood, havent had a fit for a long toime, although the paralysis is there still, but I still at times freak out with it, I dont find it nice at all, but there are alot of people who actually enjoy the feeling blink.gifunsure.gif

that is exactly what happened to me, to the letter

it was scary as hell

I thought it was down to the acid because it was the first time it had happened to me and I took my first acid trips a couple of days earlier. It hasn't happened since thank God

TBH probably not, because in my mind, I'm still associating it with the acid even though it wasn't due to that. I've been classically conditioned not to take acid now!
