Been into Brum today and it looks fookin awesome. Admittedly it's just highstreet stores, but the building is amazing.

And there's a Selfridges!!!!!!!! notworthy.gif

My teenage daughter has been kidnapped, and the people I work with may be involved in both.

I'm Federal Agent Jack Bauer and this is the longest day of my life...

Have you not been there before?

Not the new Bullring, he hadn't no... It only opened yesterday.

And technically, the new Bullring is the first Bullring. All previous incarnations were called (and the name of the area still) "Bull Ring" - the name "Bullring" is the new brand name for the new shopping complex.

Must admit, it's all very swish, and complete mixture of stores. Gets the thumbs.gif from me, but we'll see if it looks old, dated and decrepid in five years time.

I think it looks [censored] awful. Its obviously been designed by a blind man.

What you've seen is probably the Selfridges store - that's only one part of it. I actually quite like it - but don't know whether it will stand the test of time.

The rest of the complex is actually very, very smart and I think will stand the test of time. Inside, you can't fault it either.

I wonder how much the smaller independent stores in Brum town centre will suffer due to the new bullring.

The development is impressive and will feed the craving for homogenised corporate fashion that midlanders find so irresistable.

Once you've been in there, you'll find it's not all chain stores - there are some independant stores in there. Also, I think that other stores in the *city centre* will survive - but there's going to be some ratification and re-organisation required.

I'd be quite interested to check it out in that case. I used to love shopping in Brum when I was living in Leamington. It's a bit of a maze but there's loads of quality shops down the little side streets.

How did a pikey like you manage to get through the doors??

I wore my best Ben Sherman and the guy on the door felt charitable.

My teenage daughter has been kidnapped, and the people I work with may be involved in both.

Did he make you turn your Burberry around so the cameras could see your face?

No, but he did follow me everywhere in there. I felt too intimidated to nick anything paranoid.gif

You fool. He wasn't following you to stop you nicking anything.

He fancied you. He wanted a shag.gif
