Upton Park Chief Terrence Brown has promised supporters that the hammer

sales are over after selling fans in the Bobby Moore lower to Chelsea

for £8m, despite claims he would only have to sell the fans in the

Chicken Run. Brown had claimed in May, that the 'nucleus' of West Ham

support would be kept.

Brown's statement released yesterday read:

"Chelsea now have an array of talent on the field, but because they have

no fans, and the ones they do have are cr#p, Roman came in and bid for

some fans, I had to say yes. Plus they were getting on my nerves a bit"

As the deal was sealed, those entering the stadium for last nights game

against Bradford, were whisked down to Stamford Bridge in coaches and

ordered to support Chelsea.

One former Hammers fan said:

"The board and I had been in discussions for 18 months about the renewal

of my season ticket, but ultimately I just wanted Champions League

football to further my enjoyment of the sport, something the club

couldn't provide. So I've pi55ed off to Chelsea with the players"

Another supporter said:

"I was preparing for life in division 1, when the board told me they'd

sold me to Chelsea cos their fans are so pony. But now i'm here I'll

forget about my past and start wearing naff earrings, mind you, it seems

like yesterday I was telling fellow supporters not to pi55 off and leave

just cos we got relegated"

Trevor Brooking insisted today that no more supporters would have to be

sold, despite claims in a newspaper this morning which suggested some

fans would be loaned out to Portsmouth till the end of the season.

However, Portsmouth club source stated "that's fiction, because even if

we did, we'd have nowhere to put them... because our ground is a 5h1t

hole."

Brown was unavailable for comment today as he had changed the £8m into

five pound notes and was rolling in the money in his garden, laughing.
