Never mentioned this before, no I'm not going mad, the music actually SLOWS DOWN when I yawn whilst listening to music. Pitch and everything.

its something to do with the air pressure in your inner ear when you yawn, it makes everything sound different apparently.

although never noticed it myself.

Yeah, I can confirm that the music does slow down when you yawn. I think could only be something to do with the Doppler effect. Ever noticed how if there is a car with a loud stereo going past, the music sounds faster when it's approaching, and slower when it's going away... same principle, I think.

Music gets slower and people seem to move slower aswell.

I think its something to do with the rush of oxygen to your brain.

When you yawn, you take in an extra large lungful or air so more oxygen gets to your brain making it slightly more active momentarily, therefore your senses become slightly more active aswell making it seem like the world around you is slowing down because your brain is taking in more information than before.

Did that make any sense to any one???? Coz it sounded fookin good in my head.

nope, i mean like the music actually appears to slow down (including the pitch is lower) and then speeds back up to normal speed again when the yawn is complete.

only happens on particularly deep/long yawns.

i bet you all the money in the world other people are out there who get this - just a question of time before someone posts ...

I do i do i do!!!

Im bein gen.

Its like setting a video onto long play mode...the tape goes slower to fit more info into the cassette.

i still don't believe you.

next time i yawn I'm gonna keep eyes open and watch everything speed up.

i fink it's something to do with air waves in ur ear and pressure and stuff.
