whats the point of that? some people might actually like to know what time 'late' is. (ie to make arrangements afterwards)

i remember as a kid, parties used to be till 'late' as it made us sound more grown up but theres no need ne more

For kids 'late' generally means midnight. As for clubs it does vary I agree.

Why don't you write to a club/events manager suggesting that instead of putting "till late", that they should put an exact end time. This way you will be able to arrange your night right down to the second.

I don't do much on this planet, but David Blaine has taught me that I could do less!!

They put 'till late' so they can shut when they want and not have pedantic twats such as yourself telling them they should be open for another 3 mintues.

it allows flexibility for the club and if a dj's in the middle of a set and there are still plenty of people still dancing etc, they don't need to stop, or at least think that the dj's going to stop any second, and just leave...

makes sense to me

I am NOT a dj
