What with All Hallows Eve nearly upon us and having watched 'Most Haunted' on LivingTV last night when I was bored, just wondered who believes in ghosts:

He does tend to mince.....I reckon old Evette Fielding has come on leaps and bounds since her Blue Peter days though

 

As much as I don't really like the program I have to watch it next week as they are going to the Edinburgh Vaults. I went in them last year and to my shame fooking shat my pants (not literally). Couldn't wait to get out...

they think with edinburgh vaults it's more to do with the magnetic field there, as they found out by manipulating the magnetic field you can create the sense of being watched, touched and being cold. but who knows eh?

i believe in ghosts, very much so.

 

i used to rent a small cottage attached to a pub which were both (the house and the pub) haunted.

 

the cottage was haunted by a stable boy called Wally who lost his life in the pub/cottage when the building used to be a stable. there are stories about it in the history books in the local library.

 

the piano in the pub next door used to play itself for all to see (this wasn't a money-spinning gimmic - it actually does this, usually after hours when the pub is closed).

 

i felt extremely uneasy in the cottage, feeling like i was being watched ALL the time, hence i only lived there about 3 months.

 

i once watched a balloon float from my sitting room, up the stairs and into the bedroom (oh, it's only the warm air currents, i thought...) then i watched the balloon float back down again to where it came from. [censored] myself??? i fled to my mom's that night!

 

the ghost obviously didn't like my stick-on air fresheners that i attached to the underside of the kitchen worktop, and to the side of the toilet, because on the day i put them there i went out, and when i came back one was stuck to the bottom of the ironing board and the other was at the other side of the bathroom!

 

Oh i could go on and on about the "interesting" happenings in that cottage.

Has anyone experience a ghost ?

My aunt reckons that she has seen ghosts. On one occasion, we were all in the house and she said that she could see a ghost, on closer inspection it was a coat stand. She still claimed it was a ghost, "too late aunty, you can't pretend it's still a ghost, in an attempt at not looking daft".

 

So a combination of poor eyesight, booze and a good imagination my aunt single handly created a ghost out of a coat stand. Simply quite amazing.
