If you are near the southbank of the Thames any time soon i definately recommend checking out the Tata Modern

 

the main hall has the coolest installation set up at the moment... very good if you're recovering from the night before... think: very large room, sun-rise, hazy atmoshere, ppl doing silly things, ppl watching ppl being silly ... hmmm... difficult to describe the effect and do it justice...

 

won't say any more except to recommend that if you go it's definately worth taking a camera with you if you plan to go... lots more interesting than Mr Blaine in a Box (IMHO)

Agreed. The Tate Modern rules. I've been there 3 times now! (They change quite a lot of the exhibitions every few months so it is worth going back.)

have you seen what they've got up at the moment in the main Turbine Hall?

 

one of the best peices of 'art' that I've seen... was chatting with mates and we were wondering for a lot of the kids there whether for some of them it would be the first thing they remember from their childhoods...

 

think i'm going to go back pretty soon to take more photos

i keep promising myself i'll visit tate modern but i've still not made it to date.

We went there about 2 weeks ago and the main room was shut ! !

 

Some of the other rooms were cool though. That room which is pitch black with TV screens showing swirling colours and ambient music is also pretty surreal.

Yep it's definitely one of London's highlights. Will be paying a repeat visit soon.
