i disagree james,look how many ppl are on harderfaster every day,only now and again do you get threads with ppl being rude and nasty.

its all very well ppl saying give as good as you get but thats not what i go on forums for.

 

If you're basing this point on the 12 yr old thread then you are wrong, FTB and liquideyes were making points you didn't like.

There is always a choice, to stay out of argumentative topics or to join in.

 

Staying out of argumentative topics, can make the site seem a whole lot less hostile and happy.

its nout to do with that kev,others and i cant seem to post without ppl jumping on us.

if we did what jack said and keep out of arguements etc there would only be a handfull of ppl posting every day.

I know the feeling ! Its a right pain and I've tried to think up further 'rules' to stop this - but its impossible - you cant stop people jumping on your posts. Best thing to do is to use the 'ignore user' feature

In all honesty I have read some posts today. Some people have made comments and others have replied. Then they dont like their reply so they make a sly comment back and so on. As a site we can do [censored] all about it unless its blatant abuse, the only other choice is to ignore those people.

I think sometimes peoples replies/qoutes to others when they tend to disagree are not, worded correctly IE Ray reply to me... total bollox, ok I know Ray & I can say yeh ok his opinion, but for those who do not know him well it looks rude, also something I may post which is not agreed by all, does not make the person dissagreeing right either!!!!

Lisa - we cant moderate 'rude' people - there are no moderation guidelines in place for this - and there should never be !

Yeah but we cant make someone stop saying what they want because 'someone' that dont know him may not like it. Thats up to him if he wants to be perceived as an arrogant twat just the same as someone that wants to be the nicey nicey person. To be honest, he speaks his mind like alot of people do but have different ways of saying it.

Some (not all) of the people that complain of being jumped on are also qucik to jump on others and attempt to make them look small.

 

I think people spend far too much time analysing things, instead of just getting on with it - it happens in real life, and it will happen on a message board.

yes I know James & as I say we know alot of the members etc, when I first joined I thought OMG im not gonna say ought to creamy, jesus he'll rip you apart, but on meeting him & using the site I now know his S.O.H & know that it is banter, sadly you can not stop peeps from the way the type things & get percieved across the board, be good if you could tho!!!

I hope members will meet up with us and form their final opinion of us that way - rather than just what they see on the board - and as we found out last Saturday, even the people who dont like each other on hear get on REALLY well when we're out - its crazy.

 

Yes I know that we want to cast the true picture of ourselves on here but its impossible - people have jobs and other [censored] going on in the week which make them moan about life and jump on peoples posts - the message board is a way of finally getting their issues out. I think its healthy. However, I dont think its right if there are people here who make it their mission to cause upset - and this is documented in the forum guidelines. We would hope that we would spot this and ban such people.
