All those doing Crasher NEC

Afters@Subway are considering putting on a bus from the NEC to Afters once it's all over... They're also doing this every week from SS HQ.

 

At HQ, it's gonna be free - I'm not sure about from the NEC, but if it wasn't free (I think there's a good chance it will be), it should only cost a quid or two per head.

 

Afters costs 6 quid for members and 8 quid for guests, and runs from 4am through 'til 10am. The lineup for the 30th November is John Langford, Sarah G, Craig Lee & Lil' Angel in the main arena and Neil Appeal, Cris Du Lux and DJ Gail in the funky arena.

 

Afters is trying to canvas whether it will be worth putting on a bus for peeps. Could you please reply to this post if you're going to the NEC on the 29th and are likely to want to go to Afters - I'll then pass on the info to the relevant people so they can make a decision for you...

 

(After Afters, there's Shaft which runs from 10am - 5pm... After Shaft, there's a new event being started by Andy Farley - I'll get the details and update this thread).

Okay... The event after Shaft...

 

It's 50 yds from Subway (where Afters is held) at Bar 91. It's called Release and launches on the 30th November (day after Crasher @ NEC) and is on 5pm - midnight. It's from the same promoter as Afters, but Andy Farley is presenting/hosting it. Residents are Farley (he'll be playing a funky techno set) & Sarah G (she'll be playing a tribal funky house set). Guests include Ian M.

Well, why not do NEC then come back on the afternoon/following night for Release.

 

I'm expecting it to be a regular thing, yup... Whether he always plays a techie set or not, who knows?

 

At the minute, it's looking pretty much like you can hard dance/funky club in Birmingham practically from about 8pm Friday night through 'til 6am Monday morning....

Sarah G usually does hard dance (not hard house as such, but a mix of HH/tech). She was pretty shocking a few years ago, but I heard her about 6 weeks ago for the first time in about 2 years, and she's bloody amazing.

also, if u read her CV on her website, says shes warmed up for Tidy Boys etc...
