I think he has gone too techy now, hes goin to shoot himself in the foot. I know for a fact numbers have dropped on his show in the last four months. Hes a friend of mine, not my boyfriend. Far from it. There are billions of good labels / tunes out there. The problem is, most DJs buy the same [censored] tunes. And in turn, a hell of a lot of clubbers put up with it. (Especially when they're off their tits on drugs, and all they care about is how "banging" or "anthemic" the music is.) Ahem.

So maybe thats what them clubs want.. i mean they have the opportunity to book other djs that dont play obvious tunes.. maybe its that in order to hear lesser known tunes you need to go to more underground nights.. im not saying this IS the case but tryin to put a different perspective on it, maybe its not the dj but the kind of night you are going to that doesnt match up to what you personally like.. i hope im wording this in a way that is understood for how i meant it!! CTW DJs LittleMissLoud Posted November 12, 2003 CTW DJs Share Posted November 12, 2003 It's often what the punters wnat, as liquid eyes said. I think it's all about a happy medium (some well known stuff, and some stuff that is a bit diferent) However, just as there are dj's who play predomenantly Tidy/ Nukleuz stuff, there are those who feel they are superior for playing mainly unrelesahed material, but often what they are playing has not been released for a reason . Many demo CD's will have the unreleased mix of a track which ismore well known - but sometimes that unreleased mix is pretty poor - hence the better version being released. Quote I'M HUNGRY! Agreed, some of the unreleased stuff may get signed tho.. and its as likely to get signed to tidy or nukleuz as it is any other "credible" label so what makes it better than other tunes already out on these labels.. the fact that its not been heard too many times? That its a "better" tune?? That a well liked dj plays it??? The fact its played in a "better" club???? The actual style????? There's loadsa factors that come into it imo and i dont think anyone can say it is one certain factor for sure!! CTW DJs LittleMissLoud Posted November 12, 2003 CTW DJs Share Posted November 12, 2003 I never said there was one factor, and I never said that all material that is unreleased will never be released, or doesn't deserve to be released, just that some material that is unreleased is that way for a reason - i.e. most poeple (dj's, clubbers, record labels etc) would think it's pretty [censored]!
