CTW Members Stu Posted November 19, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted November 19, 2003 too poor to buy decks but would like to [censored] around with the music i got anyway... can anyone recommend a good mp3 mixer? i'm using this atomic thing atm that does one-click beat matching which is fooking heavy. but its only a trial version, and you can only do one thing at a time - i.e. you can't turn down the bass and crossfade together. but auto beat-matching makes the whole thing easy-peasy. your thoughts... CTW Admin James Posted November 19, 2003 CTW Admin Share Posted November 19, 2003 The best one I had used up until recently was PCDJ Red (http://www.visiosonic.com)... but I just got a sneak peak Traktor DJ (v2.5 i think, latest) - by Native Instruments - and its AMAZING - definitely the BEST MP3 mixer on the market - with amazing built in EQ/filters. Cant beat this app currently IMO ! In fact ALL of NI's products are professional products ... http://www.native-instruments.com There is a 59 euro basic version and a 200 euro pro Studio version Quote James@ClubTheWorld.uk CTW Admin | ClubTheWorld.uk | Twitter | Instagram Clubbing the world, together ... CTW Members Nick G Posted November 19, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted November 19, 2003 Agreed James - this is by far the best that i've used too, and the new one is alot better cos it doesn't crash anymore whilst messing about ith the low pass filter, like the old one useed to. If you're inot mixing MP3's, then this is the gear you need to be getting
CTW Members DJam Posted November 25, 2003 CTW Members Share Posted November 25, 2003 I tried a trial of Tracktor. Really cool when you get the hang of it. Ideal for those who want to make mixes as a hobby but don't want to get into the whole $$$$ aspect of going all the way. I do think it gets tough on more complex rhythms, but I didn't play with it long enough to figure out the ins and outs. I did like how you can piece together your whole set and then play it start to finish soe recording purposes and such. We'll see how well it works when I get Final Scratch.
