I didn't say that.

More or less you did..

I can't think of any other reason why "going out" would result in paranoia?!!!

This strikes me as another "Claire sticks to her guns to the bitter end and won't back down, to the point of putting words in other people's mouths in a desperate attempt to 'win' the argument" type thread (no offence). wink.gif

Errm no, its more like puttin a point across, just cos it happened to contradict yours and i was right and you was wrong wink.gif

Hangovers don't make me paranoid!

Lack of sleep? Alcohol? You're tellin me that people who dont take drugs wont get paranoia after a weekend?? Thats a pretty stupid assumption for someone who strikes me as bein as intellectual as u hun!! (no offence)

Claire, you're really not very good at being pedantic. You're just digging yourself into a hole, and I'm going to bury you in there. smile.gif

What I said:

"I can't think of any other reason [other than drugs] why 'going out' would result in paranoia"

What you think I said:

"people who dont take drugs wont get paranoia after a weekend"

1. I said I can't think of any reason. I didn't say "there is no reason".

2. Just because someone gets paranoid after a weekend, doesn't mean they became paranoid due to the weekend [or weekend activities]. You're confusing subsequence with consequence.

3. If you get paranoid from lack of sleep, then it is the lack of sleep that caused the paranoia, not the "going out"! Tomorrow morning you may stroll out of your front door and walk in front of a bus, but it won't have been the "going out" that killed you, it was your inability to follow the highway code!

Im exactly the same..im getting really really worried about my paranioa.

I was sitting in the pub with my mates from work and they were asking why i always look worried when people look over at me and i told them it was cause of my paranioa. Ive always been a bit para about my height & looks (even tho i know that my height is what makes me as a person etc) but recently i get so worried when im out.

Esp when im out clubbing, i think are people just talking to me cause they have to or is it cause they do like me? I think its cause ive been [censored] about by boyfriends/mates in the past it adds to it..i know its the drugs to and i decided after christmas im taking at least a month to get my head sorted.

I worry about the most stupid things aswell. I suppose some of the things i wear i attract attention like today im wearing pink bunny ear muffs and obviously people are going to look..but im not going to turn into a 'plain jane' cause its simply not me.

Its so annoying tho..the para i get about my mum aswell, i was still fukd on saturday morning and had a big discussion about a setting on her hoover called 'hard floor' (honestly) and she was like..jill you get madder by the day, i worry about you..and i was like [censored]..does she worry about me cause i take drugs, then i was like nah she doesnt know - she just thinks that im mad/

what a long rant this is tho eh! haha.

think i might try that stuff that jay mentioned tho. I think i need to go to a confidence class or something cause that would help...but the strange thing is i am confident infront of loads of people (like my dancing at wildchild for instance, i can dance infront of 100s of people and feel amazing) but when it comes to a group of people im constantly thinking [censored]..what are they thinking about me?? And it doesnt help when i talk random [censored] all the time aswell...

boo to drugs cry.gif why can something that makes you feel amazing have such [censored] side affects?? cry.gif

xxxx

I tend to be alright when im out clubbing - as im sure you know i tend to draw attention to myself on purpose laugh.gif

i know how you feel when people look at you - i find people tend to look at me when walking through college - yes its only natual for someone to look when someone is walking towards them - but it feels like everyone around me is just staring at me - and it gets me well paranoid.

I too am a confident person with being a stage performer and running a business etc - i find i get it when im with people who arnt the same type of person as me. now how can i explain this one.. um.. like most of my mates are into football - so i might go sit with them and the football boys and they'll be talking away ignoring me because i know nothing about the subject or something.

We should have a talk about it together jilly smile.gif

I didnt THINK you said that at all.. i read what you said, not in between lines!! Maybe im not makin what i think clear for you!!

1. If you cant think of any reason other than drugs that going out (at a weekend, obviously clubbing/socialising etc) would make you paranoid you're obviously not thinking hard enough because there are plenty of reasons, a few of which i have mentioned previously!!

2. I never said it was due to the weekend and the weekend only, in fact i was the one saying that there are more reasons other than drugs in the first place!!

3. But it's probably because of goin out that the lack of sleep occured, i think it is you who is being pedantic here mr eviltongue.gifwink.gif And if you get paranoid from drugs its the drugs that causes the paranoia, not the goin out.. same with alcohol etc etc!! And maybe it wasnt the inability to follow the highway code.. maybe the bus came from nowhere/was goin too fast etc etc!! If we're bein pedantic here wink.gifsmile.gif

Not disagreeing with you Claire, but on this statement, it will not just be the drugs/alcohol IMO, it will also be the lack of sleep entailed which will also be a contributing factror to the paranoia!!... Lack of sleep/sleep deprivation alone will cause paranoia!! thumbs.gif
