U've got to encourage them/remind them to keep their technique, update them on their oponents and gauge when to do bursts of speed in order to gain the advantage. They also need to steer the boat. He is one of the most important individuals in the boat.

 

I used to enjoy doing that but not as much as actually rowing. I was never in a winning boat tho in all 5 yrs i did it. Prob cos i never cud be arsed with the weight training etc

what position were you in the boat? 6' 2" tis a little large for a cox!

yeah the weight training is a bit of a pain...but the ergo's (rowing machines) are the worst!
