dunno if it is right forum

 

but if you r working temporay and are scheduled to work boxing day as it falls on the day you work on the time table

are the company allowed to stop you working becuase they have to pay you extra? and make you work on your'e day off to make up the hours

 

if this all make's sense

im contracted to work 20 hours a week same days every week so im contrated to work on that that friday, does anyone know any site's with a bit of info on.

 

they also mentioned they had to pay me more than double time

Are you temp as in part time all year, or are you seasonal staff i.e for xmas period only?

 

If you're the latter, they'll probably get away with making you work all the shifts that the permenant staff don't want to

Temp till end of january then they review me and if i dun well, i get a permant postion

 

but there already impressed with me at the end of my shift the manger of siansbury's came to find me and he said he was impressed how well i did on my first day and he saw me working hard on the camera and also thanked me for making the warehouse bit where we keep are stock all tidy so i think im goin get offerd a permant postion

Hi

 

I'm doing temp work at the mo and I only get paid for the time I work i.e. if I take any time off for annual leave of a bank holiday, I will not get paid for that time. You'd better check your contract to see the small print (they don't generally advertise the fact they don't pay you for bank holidays).
