Nicole has just told me that she has been banned from making posts and the reason is because it is a mad clubber alias account...whats going on guys?

No, We were both logged in but every time she tried to make a new post it came up and said that she had been banned from making new replies as her account was a mad_clubber alias account.

To be fair, you can't really blame them can you.. i mean with whats gone on regarding you and fake accounts. Fake accounts can be fun to a point, when it is an obvious fake account and people know that and the person who made it doesnt try and have everyone thinking its a real person, but when you're genuinely trying to pass yourself off as someone else its a bit shitty.. people come on here to chat to real people and have a laugh.. not chat to one person pretending to be 6 different people. Sorry just my opinion at the moment as you haven't proved any differently so far....

I was honest with everybody yesterday and admitted (embarrasingly) that I have had one fake account and that was Mark2003.

Not being funny, but how many of us have opened accounts in alias names?? Even admin on this board have a few, as long as they are not posting nasty & rude things & being complete twats to other members whats the big issue???

 

& also are we not being abit paranoid & are we gonna grill every new member from now on????

It seems that all new users are being grilled now, Look at the new french girl that registered yesterday!

In all fairness she might be a faker but she could also be genuine and be put off using the site after a good interrogation by us all!

As far as I am concerned alia accounts hurt nobody if they are not created soley for the purpose of abusing people etc

this was the point i was trying to make yesterday. there are genuine people on here that are arrogant and get off on being nasty to each other.....and then there are the alias accounts.....none who have been nasty

 

yes it may be against the rules......but so is targetting people

exactly!!!! & at the end of the day so many ip addy's arte the same or similar, so genuine members could be being deleted & accounts blocked, there are far more important things to worry about IMO than a poss bogus account, specially if it is doing no harm & they are posting & chatting...
