The following email will be sent to all past CTW members who have opted in ...

Hi James,

After 12+ years ClubTheWorld (CTW) is finally back online   

Visit us here: ClubTheWorld.uk

Over the last few years we've had many requests from past members for CTW photos - we took the decision to put these back online, along with the Forums, Reviews, Interviews & DJ Profiles.   

We've rebuilt everything from the ground up and so we're confident you'll love using the new site and it's new features such as;

  • Following members & content
  • Integrated Events Calendar
  • Integrated Photo Galleries, with Member Tagging
  • Member Blogs
  • Notification Management
  • Private Messages (including group PMs)
  • Member Leaderboard (based on content contribution)

We've also got a ton of new features planned this year and we're really hoping you want to get involved in some of these !  Here are just a few we have planned;

  • Live Music & Video Streaming (DJ sets, Interviews ...)
  • Live Chat
  • Club Check-ins & Member Map
  • ...

So please log back in & join in the fun once again !

Hiyaaa.  Email was sent with option to unsubscribe etc and we couldn’t know their prefs with out an email, no personal details or 3rd party.  By default all new registrations are Opt Out.
 

believe it ticks all boxes to best of knowledge.  Complex laws but as it direct with all the above believe it’s fine x x

I think the rules stated you had to give people the option to opt out/ delete information 

otherwise every company/ game/ account holder would have details deleted and no access to sites when they changed. 
 

I did get a fair few emails asking me to opt out if I wanted to due to new laws from some old stuff I was on.  
 

 

I fear a lot of the emails maybe lost but who knows there may be some with the same email

Indeed.   There’s no way to ask people to opt out without asking.   
 

the funny thing is I didn’t delete any.  It may be annoying to get a lot of mail even if each company only sends one but I like having the options to use my accounts.  Haha

Thanks guys - yep, we had to send a one-off email to past members to;

- Let them know we are back online

- Let subscribers know they can unsubscribe or  have their CTW account deleted

We are not intending to spam anyone with emails - in fact all email notifications on the site are switched off by default (although a member can enable email alerts if they want - e.g. if someone follows them, sends them a PM, replies to their thread etc.)

Has the gmail issues been sorted?   Need to change my email.

It should be yep, although some members with ‘bad words’ within their email address still cant validate, and we have no way of fixing that it seems.
