My friend Bex used to work as a chat line lady, good pay and you don't have to leave the comfort of your own home.

 

Most of the guys that phoned just wanted a chat, the fuck talk was pretty incidental.

My housemate used to phone porn lines regularly and his phone bills were astronomical. He would retreat into his room with the house phone and we could hear grunting

in womens magaxines there are lots of freephone chatlines, basically a clever way of having females on the phones without paying them. me and three friends went through a phase of phoning them when we were 13, one of us would talk while the others listened in the extensions. Freaked us all out a bit a couple of times, one in particular when a bloke (who must've been at least 40) told my friend he was going to 'track her down, find her house, rape her and make her come so hard' (and yes he sounded like he was being completely serious)
