More than that he was the driving force behind all the meetups which funnily enough don't happen anymore as there's nobody on the site that anybody else will listen to and be told.

Look, before everyone keeps going on about Kev again can I just make it perfectly clear that he (and all the other people who have 'left') did it entirely off their own back - no one was forced off, no one has been 'banned' - in fact its completely the other way round - people have had enough of US rather than the other way round (rightly or wrongly) - so before you start missing people too badly I would have a long think about whether or not people were really your friends on here or not !

 

I still go on message boards (this and others) to speak to people whether its one person I know or 100 people I know - I dont just get up and 'leave' (everyone) at the first sign of a bit of trouble !

 

RE: Meetups - I dont think it should be down to one person to plan things - everyone is quite capable of arranging things themselves - you only have to put up a suggestion and if its good people will follow - end of !

 

It actually quite amuses me because most who have 'left' I see at least once a week on here on Invisible Mode !!!

 

I agree that its quiet because its summer and this is a quiet period - end of !

 

I also think its good to have quiet and busy patches and I certainly dont see this as anything negative - if anything its costing less in traffic so all good imo !

ps. Can I just re-interate that no one has forced ANYONE off the site. There are so many people on here pointing out the 'problems' but hardly anyone actually doing anything about them ! If you want to help then start posting some information on some new nights which we dont know about.

 

pps. Last I heard was that Kev was actually setting up his own site so I dont see why you are missing out on him - if you want his phone number I will pass it on - PM me.

I've just as confused as you Kitty !   ... ... ...   It really does worry me that people are STILL going on and on and on about this whole episode - if people cant see the real reason he left then I'm amazed - he left because of most of the people on this site ! Fact ! He (and now Tony and others) left because people ended up getting to them and not appreciating the free work they were putting in for all of us - I dont blame them to be quite honest !   If you want people to put work into this site then show some appreciation I say. That said as I mentioned the other day there are going to be some changes round here but not in the immediate future.
