The Sims was good to start with but after a while it got tedious and rather boring, bit like all "build a community / planet" type games like civilisation, simcity, sim tower block, etc, etc.

Secret of Mana.

now THAT was an rpg

square's finest moment imo - pisses all over final fantasy series cos it wasnt anal about stats etc and had zelda style combat!

used to have a multi-tap for snes and playing that with 3 people is a genius idea for an rpg thumbsup.gif

Coming soon...

4th March 2006, VALVE SOUNDSYSTEM @ Sheffield Uni with Pendulum, Roni Size, Dillinja, Sub Focus and more!!!

It's weird but I never get tired of playing The Sims. I've got all of the expansion packs so it's a pretty huge game overall, and I love discovering all the unexpected little quirks. I especially like making men snog

I loved the original games in the Command & Conquer series. Dune 2 was one of the first games that had me really gripped.

Grand Theft Auto 3 is up there for the sheer sense of freedom and, well, violence! I remember playing the original, but number 3 is where it's at.

I also have to mention a couple of my favourite network/team games - Return To Castle Wolfenstein and Counterstrike (the multi-player spin-off from Half Life). Amazing if you can cobble together a decent number of mates (of a similar playing ability) on a network! These games as so much better than your "shoot-'em up" type first-person games - you can't just peg it around with your guns blazing.

A more retro choice would be Defender - amazingly subtle for such a simple game.

Ahh Dune 2, yeah that was superb, i was hooked from the first moment i played it.

I then went on to Command and Conquer, but i always get fairly far into it and am unable to progress any further, whether it was C&C, Tiberian Sun or C&C Generals.

That doesnt mean that the C&C games are shit cos quite the opposite they are excellent, it just means i'm shit sad.gif lol

GTA3 is an excellent game, shame my computer cant handle it now for some reason so I've had to uninstall it.

Sonic 2 was one of my faves, I remember once I played it for about 18 hours solid even though I'd completed it. I dont think I could ever get board of the little blue hedge pig.

Sonic and Knickles was good aswell.

Oops...Nearly forgot Mario Cart, the only Mario game I liked. Excellent multi player game, as was Goldeneye on the N64.
