Playing people against each other??

why do people do this & at times lie in the proccess?

 

What do they think they will gain, by hurting one person to get to another?

 

I have met a few people like this & I fail to see what makes them like this or how they never seem to realise how many they may hurt in doing it?

I agree Lisa, there really is now need. If you have a problem with someone why not speaks with that person instead of involving half a dozen others. Surely one would want to resolve any bad feeling rather then create more...

This is it exactly. I find the best way is to be up front & honest but not all are the same unfortunately, but what gets me is these people that make things up & say it others knowing it will get back if you like to the person they have a problem with, but in doing so may hurt others with their lies, especially when in some case they actually claim to be friends with the person getting hurt in the cross fire:angry:

Possibly because these type of people actually thrive of making people unhappy / causing them un-neccesary grief / possible problems.

 

It's deffintaly best to ignore this type of crap and let it backfire on themselves.

I agree, people like this are just C U Next Tuesdays in my opinion. I never really came across it until recently when I was put in a really nasty situation by someone. Cant be arsed with it myself and what winds me up is these people are normally the ones being nice to your face ! However, I have also learnt that give someone enough rope and they will usually hang themselves. They are normally petty, insecure people who need the world to revolve around them and eventually they always get caught out.

 

If you cant say anything nice, dont say anything at all - thats my motto !

If someone is genuine, they will want to sort it and the more times you talk about the issue, the more times little lies or variations will come out.   3. Just tell them that you have a problem with their credibility because of (give specific examples) and as a result you dont want to talk about that issue/situation/ whatever with them.   4. find one really good example of them lying and confront them with it. I know a girl who is always lying , even down to getting the train into work from her new boyfriends - but she soon shut up when one of her coworkers took a picture on her phone of her car in the car park in the morning !   At the end of the day though, people can only shit stir and play you offer against each other if you let them, and I have never known anybody like this not to get found out eventually or end up looking like a tool.

Leaving them carry on to spout their absolute drivel and wait for them to 'slip up', is the best ever ! That's when it's time to AV THEM and gun them !

I think its the look on their face when they know that they've been caught out - the unsaid "oh fuck" as the colour drains from their face, their mouth goes dry and their throat tightens up serves the little bleeders right
