Launched in the golden days of 2001, Riot! ruled London clubbing with its hedonistic Sunday afternoon sessions at The End.
Now after a couple of years touring the three continents and launching its sell-out album ‘Filthy House for Dirty Stopouts’, Riot! is back in the Capital for one more party; this time triumphantly taking control at the hard dance ‘mother ship,’ Turnmills.
The infamous party will host one of the rooms, as Europe’s largest dance download website, Trackitdown.net, celebrates 3 years in the business with DIGITAL.
Riot! legends BK and Ed Real will be joined by man the Carl Cox called the biggest producer of 2006 Riot! Ali Wilson. A true superstar in the making Ali launches his debut artist album ‘Watchmaker’ on the night and to mark the occasion he will be giving away promotional goodies to lucky winners.
Hard dance stalwart BK will be also be playing tracks from his forthcoming ‘Under The Influence’ artist album while Ed Real will be putting in a performance that tips a wink to the past, present and future of Riot!
Joining the heavyweights is Romania’s Claudia Cazacu. Having just made her debut performing alongside Lisa Lashes at The Gallery, Claudia has recently returned from touring China and Canada, and is currently one of the most talked about nu breed djs on the scene.
In the other two rooms of music, Trackitdown.net has laid on a feast of house, electro, minimal, breaks and dnb flavours. Headline DJ’s including Lutzenkirchen, Dave Spoon, Miles Dyson and David Ekenback are flying in from Sweden, Holland and Germany to showcase some of the biggest dance labels in the world including; Toolroom, Finger Lickin’, Technique, Jackmoves, Functional and many more.
A Brief History of Riot!
For four years Riot! residents Ed Real, BK, Tom Neville, Martin ‘King Roc’ Dawsonand Tom Real would join A List guests to pound the The End’s magnificent Thunder Ridge soundsystem with the very latest in after-hour power. The cutting-edge soundtrack covering techno, hard house, hard dance, techno, house, electro and breaks drew a savvy decadent crowd from over the UK to each event. Every month breaking new tunes which would soon world-wide anthems.
Over the last couple of years head honchos BK and Ed Real have been touring the event and representing the massive Riot! Recordings label at the globe’s biggest parties. Everywhere from Australia and Japan to Holland and Malaysia has been treated to the fabulous Riot! mayhem.
During that time the label continued to release a steady stream of the best hard dance and techno tracks while also launching the highly acclaimed compilation album ‘Filthy House For Dirty Stopouts’
Missing on this rare return is like missing out of part of London’s Clubbing History….so make sure you don’t and see you on the dancefloor.
