8411 40th ANNIVERSARY (Saturday 26th September 2026)

The 8411 Mastermind Roadshow was just an event 40yrs ago held 8411 Moss Side Community Centre on the 27th Sept 1986. It was filmed and hosted by Mr Zip of Foot Patrol during that filming. There was a 40 minute house break where Mike Shaft played 40 minutes of pure House music or what later became known as Acid House music the footage shows a packed full of primarily young black youth dancing and blowing whistles and horns to house music you can hear them literally shout in euphoric unity as the bass lines dropped. In the video you can feel they truly loved house music ecstatically this was typical of the Black Music Culture in Manchester in the mid 80s what made this night special is that someone captured it through a camera.

To date this is the earliest known footage of clubbers dancing to Acid House and it happened in Manchester Moss Side
