Question: Should the entrance page become the main homepage ?Most people bookmark the forum entrance as their homepage so it may as well be the homepage. I've got quite a bit to do to tidy it up and migrate all non-forum documents into forum-style templates but it will be worth it methinks ! Should the homepage be the entrance page ?Yes - it should have been from the startNo

Hi Dudes & Dudettes, The newsletter subscription link on the homepage has been broken for quite a while but I've finally fixed it. If you havent done so already and would like to please could you subcribe to our official CTW Mailing List via this link ... Subscribe or Un-subscribe We promise not to bombard you with irrelavant shite, instead we will keep you informed of CTW organised meets and trips throughout 2004. The last Newsletter we sent out was back in February or March, the new newsletter will be much better and hopefully more professional. ps. We dont believe in sending out bulk E-Flyers to everyone either. We also intend on sendi…

An idea: All threads that desend into slagging matches (or even start off as) get moved to their own forum - the 'fight' forum! A place where you can bitch, accuse, backstab, cry, or whatever you want to your hearts content. And then the rest of the board can then carry on as normal

Hi All I was just wondering what happened to certain posts about photo links to events as i posted one the other day and has seemed to gone. i did notice it saying that only ctw members were allowed or if it had ctw members in the photo set but if the person put the thread up who is a member would that not mean there would be a photo of a member in it. Do we want this ? Description: Allows people to "Ignore" a user and not see their posts. In place of those users posts is a notice allowing them to override the ignore and see the entire post; or an option to unignore a user.

If you get annoyed seeing stupidly long signatures in peoples' posts you can turn them off from being displayed. Go to your profile, edit your display settings and change this option at the bottom of the screen ... Do you want to view other user's signatures with their posts Is especially handy when viewing the forums at work (and you dont want loads of ginger people appearing on the screen!)

This cracks me up - a description of the forum (I'm going to have serious words with James ..) Smut Forum WARNING: Explicit Content This is total bollox, has anyone ever bothered their arse to actually read some of this [censored] on this forum, its utter shite, full teenage wanker comments, the sort of comments you'll read in Smash Hits for Teens or some [censored] like that. Whats even worse are these self-obsessed people that call themselves "Smut Queen", hahahahaha, what the [censored], get with the programme, the only thing this smut forum is good for is for the desperados that dont get any. In fact, to back up my point, TinaG - Smut Queen - single. …

what do you think? you could go on and put what you´re up to on it - for the weekend and people could look. nobody really seems to ask (like on the smaller sites) "whats everybody up to this weekend" and if someone were to the whole post just dissolves into random bollox, this list would be strictly business!

right do you think it'll get to the point where basically everyone who goes out to clubs is on ctw, so then you'll be like "well there's so many people here, i should start a message board for people within the group to meet each other". and then a new smaller ctw will start and grow, until it eventually gets too big and someone starts something smaller. and it'll be a bit like the woman who swallowed a fly.

I think if its possible this option should be taken off. If someone is searching this site for reasons of no benefit to the site or its members they should at least have to join so we know there IP address and that. just a thought

I notice there is a banner in the middle of the text of the home page (www.clubtheworld.uk) is there anyway of making sure this banner is only ever clubbing related, just cos I think it makes the site look cheap if right below the "aims of the site" post, you have an advert to "Test your IQ"

Someone logged in as one of the Admin accounts and started to delete all the boards/posts until all but 2 private ones were left (once I disabled the admin accounts). I've had to revert back to the last backup - which was on the 21st Sept. Still investigating ...

I also experienced the exact same pop up in work today. The pop up is an advertisment to take part in a survey for a chance to win £1000. I have this site, Photoshop and msn open. That is all. There ya go.

When you first enter clubtheworld.uk, and click on the "community" button, there is a large pause before the forums page appears. Because of the pause, it looks as though it's a bad link, or the browser has crashed, or you're not clicked exactly on the button, even though you have! Is there a way of changing the cursor to an hourglass while the forums page is loading? That way, people won't end up dumbly clicking on the link multiple times!

ok, using IE 6, smileys take ages to load up, but i can browse as usual using netscape (7.01) smileys load up in an instant, but on every ctw page i get "the connection was refused when attempting to connect to adclick.net (or whatever)" so netscape is giving me super fast graphics but the advert banner error explorer is giving me normal surfing, but slow smileys. any idea why? (xp pro sp1)

Just a quick note to say ... 1) We've removed the Drugs Awareness forum. We will however be posting up links and useful info into a static web page off the main site. 2) We've switched off all anonymous posting 3) We've merged Relationship Issues & Other Serious Issues forums into one - Serious Issues & Debates 4) We've changed the ordering of some of the forums We're also introducing far tougher moderation in regards drug references, off-topic comments & public slating

James - Can you extend the amount of Favourites we can store - the max is 75 at present. I know that I can zip and save the pics to my HD, but I'd quite like an online album that I can refer to if i'm not at my pc, for example. No need to rush with a reply, it's just a thought

"we" being "me", of course. any chance that someone could possibly fix the colours on this, as they are perfect on the main forums screen, but when you go into a forum, then the orange on dark-blue is really hard to read, and the topic subject lines actually disappear into the blue if you've already read them. (whinge no.2) pls pls pls thanks. i've only just switched to this skin because grey is a bit easier to get away with at work than bright blue......

it's just getting stupid now, people come on and post events or spam, who don't ever bother to make any other contributions to the board. and then they just go and repeat themselves and post the same details in random bollocks, with something like "hey all u mad clubberz!! is anyone going to CrapNight at CrapVenue???" or "join this competition, it's grreat!! i don't work for the company that runs it, honest!!!" have a dedicated spam forum then all the event suggestions posts from non-members can go in there, then everyone's happy - people can still check the spam forum for ideas of places to go, and promoters can still post. if you're needing someone to do …
