CTW News, Comments & Suggestions

Does anyone have any objections if I change the 'Active Topics' to 'Active Threads' - i.e. a list of unique topics will be listed instead of having repeated topics listed, albeit by different members. I personally think its not necessary to list all topics posted as it just fills up the active topics page.

We want the new newsletter to have valuable content and not be filled with just shite promoting nights etc.. (as most appear to be) We want the new newsletter to be 'personal' and 'unique' and to have the look and feel of being something created by the members for the members. So if you have any suggestions as to what should go into it or would like to put your name forward for your own weekly column please reply to this topic. Any help / advice would be greatly appreciated. Lets do this properly !

This should now be fixed, we've (Paul and I run a shared box) raised the number of connections and available memory to mySQL. Let me know if you have any other problems.

You can change the number of posts listed per page, and the number of posts shown in flat mode by editing this setting in within the 'My Profile' link ... "Display preferences, number of shown threads, languages, colors..." For example I've set my posts per page to list at 30

Because I'm thick I need you all to reply with the major towns/areas in the country ... London Leeds Brighton Birmingham Manchester Ireland Newcastle Scotland Nottingham York Stoke Shefield This will then lead to a poll and then to a properly organised meet-up so AS MANY OF US AS POSSIBLE can meet up - these will happen, hopefully, once a month - to new areas/clubs not currently covered by CTW. We have been accused of 'doing liverpool' far too often so this is left off the list for now !

Finally got to the bottom of an annoying bug and now all my scripts are starting to [censored] again, phew! I will be working on proper newletters sent out once a week max and wanting input from those who want to get involved / have a column from time-to-time.
