Fusion – The Seventh Wonder

Friday 17th August 2007
Club Ice, Westbury

Fusion returned in August 2007 with another huge instalment of their legendary hardcore events – Fusion: The Seventh Wonder. Following the phenomenal success of their previous sold-out event The Sixth Sense, which saw 1,500 ravers descend for a night of unforgettable music, the original pioneers of the UK Hardcore movement brought another epic production to the iconic Club Ice complex in Westbury, Wiltshire.

Running from 8pm until 6am, The Seventh Wonder showcased the very best in underground dance music across five arenas, featuring a huge mix of UK Hardcore, Hard Dance, Techno, Drum & Bass, Twisted House and Electro.

The event featured an all-star line-up including Re-Con, Dougal, Gammer, Whizzkid, DJ Hype, Scorpio, Producer and The Future Freakz, alongside some of the biggest names from across the hardcore scene.

Arena 1 – Fusion Main Arena

The main arena delivered one of Fusion’s biggest hardcore line-ups to date, featuring Clubland Extreme favourite Re-Con, Squad-E, legendary duo Dougal & Gammer, Fusion resident Ramos, Hardcore Heaven award winner Joey Riot, DJ Unknown, Brisk, Mark Smith, and long-standing Fusion resident Druid.

Joining them were Geos Crew, DJ Supreme, Sunset Regime, Stormtrooper, D-Lyte, Frantic, Clodhopper, Wink, Sharkey and the all-new Fusion residents The Chunky Boys.

On microphone duties, the crowd was kept moving by some of hardcore’s finest MC talent, including Whizzkid, Casper, Wotsee, Knight, Marley, Sharkey and Smiley.

Arena 2 – North: Hard Dance & Techno

North returned for their second Fusion appearance with a darker, harder arena packed with cutting-edge hard dance and techno.

Featuring Scorpio, Producer, Mark Smith, Brisk, Hektek, Andy Vortex, Jay Prescott, Narkotik, Ribbz and Squidgy B, the arena delivered relentless beats and a truly underground atmosphere.

Arena 3 – Dropzone Drum & Bass Arena

The Drum & Bass arena was headlined by legendary DJ Hype, recognised as BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Best Drum & Bass DJ of 2007 and one of the scene’s most influential figures since the early 1990s.

The line-up also featured Karn Evil, Wink, Propoltion, Deep, Judda, Kriptic, Klip, Darkdean, Vesta, Sleuth and Gary K, with MC support from Sense, Matty C, Skydro and Presha.

Arena 4 – Monthly Mayhem Hardcore Showcase

Fusion welcomed Cambridge-based hardcore brand Monthly Mayhem, bringing a showcase of some of the scene’s freshest emerging talent.

The arena featured performances from Overload & Eksta-C, Flatfoom Sam, Mike Vapour, DRS, Rampant b2b Petruccio, Flyin b2b Hatty, Mr-E, Wilfie C, Benson, DJ Scandal, Ignite vs Lee KB and DJ X vs Exalt.

Arena 5 – Discode VIP House & Electro Arena

For the first time in Fusion history, Discode hosted the VIP arena, bringing a twisted house and electro showcase headlined by The Future Freakz.

The line-up also included Joelle Atkins, Jason Chance and Jason Ireland, delivering a different flavour of underground dance music to round off the night.

With huge production, incredible lighting, entertainment, merchandise stalls and the unmistakable Fusion atmosphere, The Seventh Wonder continued the brand’s reputation for delivering some of the biggest and most memorable hardcore events of the era.
