Posted June 25, 200321 yr CTW Promotors Has the community spirit on this board gone? I am referring to my night Incision where there are 4 CTW DJs playing & am a bit disappointed at the lack of support off the board. I've been on other boards & the response is amazing - for instance - on biscuitmonsters there is a list of 46 members attending - it isn't even a biscuitmonsters night. On 4clubbers theres a 2 page post & again isn't a 4clubbers night. Just thought we might have got a little more support from here - i don't mean by people promising they would come up from London etc As i know its a long way - am i being paranoid here or does the community spirit seem to have faded? June 25, 200321 yr CTW Members Still there I would say. Ibiza and other large events are IMO effecting the smaller events, (people saving for the big summer events). I don't do much on this planet, but David Blaine has taught me that I could do less!!
June 25, 200321 yr I partly agree with what you say Jack, but then again if i was in Sarahs shoes i too would feel a little disappointed in the response she has received. It is a chance for the members to give something back to the site, and aid its growth.
June 25, 200321 yr CTW Members Well, according to James, this isn't a CTW event. Even if it was, I wouldn't go. I don't want to go to a CTW sponsered event if the name is being used simply to drag members along. What does it offer me exactly ? I came on here to meet up with mates, natter to them and go clubbing with them, not to subscribe to some stupid brand that tells me where to go and what DJ's to listen to. And who are these 'CTW' DJs ? Do they post on here ? If they don't post apart from to promote their own nights, they are not part of the community as far as I'm concerned. I'd rather go and see DJ's I've heard of, or DJ's that I actually talk to on here. Promoting CTW as a brand is completely wrong in my opinion and it's not why I came on the site. June 25, 200321 yr CTW Members but also by using CTW site, u make new friends, so CTW nites r nice for ppl too meet each other. which is why these things r organised. i think the majority off dj`s on CTW, chat n have a laff the same as u all. not just too promote them selfs. so its a nice gesture too go watch them play, as n wen we can. i think its great too have meet ups, n also think that by having these nites, will get more n more members on the site. sarcasm is the lowest form off wit. if wit was [censored] you would be constipated
June 25, 200321 yr Fair enough point Fred, I just assumed it was a CTW event. Obviously i was wrong in thinking that. My point was based around it being a CTW event.
June 25, 200321 yr CTW DJs i can only see carl ali and guy on the dj list... who are all the others? are they all CTW djs then?
June 25, 200321 yr CTW Members daz n gilly r playing too i think. sarcasm is the lowest form off wit. if wit was [censored] you would be constipated

June 25, 200321 yr CTW Members i think if you did more nights in london associated with ctw you would get a much better turn out! i also think they should be on a saturday night cos that way most people dont have to work on a sunday! the only reason why i havent gone to any of the nights otehr then the wild child one is because its always on a friday night! It isnt a CTW event but there are 5 CTW djs playing - by this i mean DJs that have their biogs in the profiles section & have sent us a mix cd. Carl, LML, Daz, Gilly & Guyster ALL post on here - some more regularly than others - prob due to internet access allowances at work. I was referring to the posts on other boards being a personal issue more than anything else - even if you werent planning on coming it would have been nice to wish me well on the night. There are plenty of people coming but they arent posting for some reason. And im sorry to say it FTB - but if you dont like the site & the way its run then why are you still here? June 25, 200321 yr CTW Admin Sarah, I'm beginning to understand some people's gripes about the 'CTW DJ' definition. I think some feel that some DJs are most definitely part of the community however others are purely just on the site to promote themselves - which is obviously fine but I wouldnt expect the ctw members to be large followers of these they hardly know Its a pity we cant have some CTW DJs playing at a night like this in London as I reckon the enthusiamn and attendance down here would be great. Friday nights for most Londoners is a bit tricky as well. James@ClubTheWorld.uk CTW Founder | ClubTheWorld.uk | Twitter | Instagram Clubbing the world together ...
