Has anyone got their tongue pierced? I really want mine doing but wondered how long it was before you can eat & talk properly?

About a week or so I think ?

 

I'd LOVE to have mine done.

A week is a long time to go without food!

I couldnt even manage a day!

I would imagine you can eat soup

 

would probably hurt and I expect some dribbleing would be envolved

i've had mine done for about 5 or so years..

it doesnt hurt having it done,just feels akward really.

 

As for eating i didnt eat much for 2 days (so if u wanna lose weight then this is the way to go)and for about another week i ate just soup.

It can be uncomfortable and mine bleed in my sleep which was gross,also u catch it when chewing food,thus breaking teeth.

 

I kinda still like mine but i'd never get it done again if it came out,to be honest ive thought of taking it out .

I'm not as keen on piercings or tattoo's as i used to be.

 

my 8 piercings and one tattoo will do for now.

 

Tattoo's and piercings are SO over rated!

Ive got mine done. I drank ready made slim fasts for a week. As Kitty said, good way to loose weight!

 

Doesnt particulary hurt as long as u dont play with it while its heeling etc.

Lisa has hers done and she said this ..

 

"if you suck ice cubes straight after & ice lollies etc it keeps swellling down, you will be fine &you can eat straight away, but soft stuff as it takes a while 2 get used 2 it"

I got mine done and was eating solids without much discomfort within 5 days.

 

Make sure you stock up on nurofen as it stops swelling aswell as pain.

 

It doesn't really hurt for the first couple of days, day 3 was a killer and I almost took my piercing out.

 

I mostly ate soup and bread for the first couple of days, if you do eat solids just take care that you don't pull the bar. It takes quite a bit of getting used to but I love my piercing.

A spanish friend of mine got her tongue pierced, she could speak and eat but she got in pain alot and had tears in her eyes. She would wash her mouth out with anti-bacterial mouthwash every two hours and she would wake up in the middle of the night cos of her tongue.

 

I don't have a fucking clue why people get their tongue pierced it's fucking ugly.

I couldn't talk or eat properly for 2 weeks solid! I lost about a stone, its defo. a good way to lose weight, but I'd never get it done again if it closed up, it was proper torture for those 2 weeks!

I understand that people want to get body parts pierced that the ycan show off but why the tongue? OK, there is the "plearuring your partner" thing but its still a mystery to me.

 

Its a personal thing for me. I like to suck myself off.
